About Flytrex

We believe that we are at an inflection point where the gig economy is being replaced with autonomous vehicles, whether ridesharing (Waymo) or food delivery (Flytrex) and all the human powered gig-economy rules are being re-written for robots.

Flytrex is building an autonomous drone-delivery network for restaurants in suburban America.

We are one of 4 companies that are FAA approved to fly over residential neighborhoods (together with Amazon, Google/Wing and Zipline) but are the only one exclusively focused on restaurants. Uber is an investor in Flytrex and we fly deliveries for Doordash as well. After thousands of successful commercial deliveries and multiple breakthrough FAA approvals, Flytrex is now expanding rapidly across the U.S., starting with Dallas Forthworth

This video gives a high level explanation of what we are doing..

We’re looking for a Head of Partnerships focused on national and regional Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chains who can help Flytrex scale from dozens of sites to hundreds.

Role Overview

The Head of Partnerships – QSR Chains will own Flytrex’s commercial relationships across all major US restaurant brands. This includes identifying, securing, and growing strategic partnerships with national QSR chains, multi-unit franchise groups, and restaurant ecosystem players like POS providers. You will act as the face of Flytrex to the QSR industry—responsible for pipeline development, deal execution, and long-term partner success.

This role is ideal for someone with deep QSR network access, strong enterprise-sales instincts, and the ability to navigate complex franchisor/franchisee decision structures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partnership Strategy & Ownership

  • Build and execute a national QSR partnership strategy aligned with Flytrex’s deployment roadmap, product and operations teams.
  • Prioritize and target Top QSR brands (e.g., McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, Domino’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Chipotle).
  • Define the partnership model, together with our partners, and manage the relationships through the different phases of implementation and growth.

2. Deal Origination & Execution

  • Own the full partnership cycle: sourcing, pitching, negotiation, contracting, and launch.
  • Develop multi-stakeholder relationships across franchisors, franchisees, development groups, and QSR innovation teams.
  • Craft economic proposals backed by delivery-cost modeling and store-level ROI.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Flytrex Operations, Product, Regulatory, and Deployment to ensure successful rollouts.
  • Be the “voice” of the partners in to the internal stakeholders and represent their interests
  • Collaborate with Marketing on co-branded campaigns, PR, and community engagement initiatives.

4. Industry Evangelism

  • Represent Flytrex at QSR conferences, franchise leadership meetings, innovation councils, and procurement groups.
  • Build Flytrex’s brand in the QSR ecosystem via thought leadership and relationship-driven influence.

5. Growth & Account Management

  • Manage ongoing relationships with national partners and franchise groups.
  • Identify expansion opportunities (multiple DMAs, campus models, 3rd-party integrations).
  • Own partner NPS, retention, and growth metrics.

Why Join Flytrex?

  • Build one of the most transformative delivery networks in the world.
  • Work with an elite cross-disciplinary team (Aviation, Robotics, QSR, Retail, Tech).
  • Make a measurable impact on safety, cost, and sustainability in last-mile operations.
  • Competitive compensation, equity package, and growth opportunities as Flytrex scales nationwide.
  • 7–12+ years experience in partnerships, enterprise sales, franchise development, or strategic accounts.
  • Experience working in an early stage start-up, selling into large corporations, working closely with a fast moving product and growing organization.
  • Strong network inside the QSR industry—franchisors, franchisee groups, development councils, procurement, or tech vendors.
  • Proven track record closing large multi-unit or national-level deals.
  • Experience navigating complex environments with franchisors + franchisees + master franchisees.
  • Bonus: Background in food delivery, POS/restaurant tech, ghost kitchens, last-mile logistics, or restaurant operations.

Location: United States (preferably near major QSR HQ hubs: Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Miami or near the company’s headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth).

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

  • Signed partnerships with at least 2–3 national QSR brands or large franchise groups.
  • Deployment expansions with existing partners across multiple new metro areas.
  • Well-defined QSR partnership playbook (process, economic model, technical requirements).
  • Industry awareness: Flytrex recognized as a credible QSR delivery platform in key executive circles.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
