Job Summary & Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Partner Leadership
- Develop and execute a global platform strategy that positions Newegg as the marketplace of choice for merchants and brands across key regions.
- Drive seller acquisition by identifying high-potential merchant segments and creating compelling onboarding and engagement programs.
- Build and nurture data-driven relationships with strategic sellers, suppliers, and ecosystem partners to expand assortment and enhance platform performance.
- Lead partnership negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms while fostering long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
- Establish governance frameworks for partner onboarding, support, performance tracking, and continuous engagement.
Strategic & Financial Management
- Own full P&L responsibility for Newegg’s Marketplace business, driving growth in GMV, margin, and operational efficiency.
- Define and implement long-term strategies that balance profitability, platform innovation, and customer experience.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Technology, and Operations to optimize working capital, platform economics, and global expansion initiatives.
Ecosystem Development & Business Growth
- Lead business development efforts to attract high-value merchants, brands, and solution partners across B2B and B2C markets.
- Champion a partnership-first mindset—expanding marketplace capabilities through collaboration with payment processors, logistics providers, and marketing partners.
- Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and regional opportunities to ensure Newegg remains at the forefront of digital commerce.
Operational & Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global team with a focus on partnership excellence, data-driven decision-making, and operational agility.
- Implement best-in-class processes, analytics, and tools to enhance platform efficiency and seller experience.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative culture that aligns with Newegg’s vision and core values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in e-commerce marketplace management, business development, or platform strategy.
- Proven success in building and managing strategic platform relationships and partnerships that drive measurable growth.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership with strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience leading large cross-functional and global teams across Category Management, Business Development, and Marketing.
- Deep understanding of online marketplace ecosystems, seller engagement, and platform technologies.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in global e-commerce expansion or cross-border trade strongly preferred.
