About Onos Health

Onos Health's mission is simple but ambitious: ensure every healthcare dollar goes toward delivering the highest quality care. Today, nearly 30% of U.S. healthcare spending is wasted due to ineffective care and administrative burden, driven by misalignment between providers and payers. This waste is a primary reason healthcare remains unaffordable for so many.

Onos is addressing this by building the largest AI-driven healthcare data platform for clinical decision-making. Onos’ models help health plans make faster, more accurate decisions across their populations. The result is less friction between plans, providers, and members, better outcomes, and more affordable care.

Why Onos?

  • Meaningful impact: Help fix what is fundamentally broken in healthcare

  • Direct collaboration: Work alongside experienced founders with deep healthcare and data expertise

  • Culture: Join a high-performing, transparent, and results-oriented team

  • Ownership: Significant responsibility and autonomy from day one

  • Opportunity: Play a pivotal role in building a fast-growing, category-defining healthcare AI company

The role

We're looking for a Head of Marketing who will be our first dedicated marketing hire. You will report directly to our CEO. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who has done real marketing work in healthcare and is ready to own the full function at a category-defining startup.

You will build the foundation for how Onos Health shows up in the market, shaping our brand, content, conference presence, and partnerships. You will define and execute the marketing strategy from the ground up, creating a clear, consistent narrative that resonates with health plans and their priorities.

The goal is to position Onos as THE platform for innovative health plans looking to transform how they operate.

What you'll own

  • Brand & positioning: Define how we’re perceived in the market, develop our voice, narrative, and visual identity standards

  • Content strategy: Build a content engine that earns credibility within the healthcare space

  • Conference & events: Own our high impact presence at key industry events with a focus on speaking, thought leadership and ROI

  • Partnership marketing: Develop co-marketing strategies with channel partners, health plan customers, and ecosystem players

  • Demand generation: Build pipeline programs that map to a B2B healthcare sales cycle; work closely with the CEO and any future sales hires on outbound and inbound alignment

  • Marketing ops: Stand up the tools, processes, and reporting that will scale with us

  • Marketing team: Scale the marketing function to align with Onos’ growth trajectory

What we're looking for

  • 6–10 years of marketing experience, with strong roots in healthcare

  • Experience working with health plans and payers

  • Track record of owning marketing end-to-end at an early-stage B2B company, including high impact conference and events experience

  • Deep understanding of how health plans, TPAs, and payer organizations buy, and how to build marketing that aligns with those cycles

  • High level of agency with a "build fast, own it all" mindset

Location:

  • Based in the San Francisco and willing to work in a hybrid work environment 2-3x per week

Benefits and Perks

  • Flexible hybrid arrangement: 2-3 days/week at San Francisco office (Financial District), remote-first culture

  • Unlimited vacation policy

  • Paid parental leave

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Pre-tax commuter benefits

  • 401(k)

  • Significant equity as an early employee

  • Direct mentorship from experienced founders

  • Ground-floor opportunity to help build a team and culture

  • Regular team events and offsites

  • Company-provided equipment and home office setup

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
