Lead the marketing function at Dataplor by owning strategy and execution across performance marketing, content, and brand, focusing on data-driven growth.
Dataplor is mapping every business on the planet and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for a Head of Marketing to build and lead our marketing function. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will own strategy and execution across performance marketing, content, brand, and demand generation, with a strong focus on using data to drive decisions and measurable growth.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment. No task is too big or too small. You are equally excited to set high-level strategy and roll up your sleeves to write copy, analyze performance metrics, launch campaigns, and more. Over time, you will scale and lead a high-performing marketing team.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute Dataplor’s full-funnel marketing strategy
- Lead all performance marketing efforts including PPC, SEO, and paid social
- Build and lead a content strategy that communicates our value to technical and enterprise buyers
- Shape and strengthen Dataplor’s brand across every customer touchpoint
- Use data to guide marketing strategy, optimize campaigns, and improve pipeline quality
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and data teams to align go-to-market efforts
- Hire and manage a growing team of marketers as the company scales
- Report directly to the CEO and play an active role in the executive leadership team
What You Bring
- 8 or more years of B2B marketing experience in tech, SaaS, or data companies
- Proven success leading performance marketing, content, and brand efforts
- Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, and funnel performance
- Ability to clearly articulate complex data products to technical and non-technical audiences
- A bias for action and comfort working in a high-growth, early-stage environment
- Experience building and managing marketing teams
- Must have played a key role in scaling a company to $50M in annual revenue, specifically by driving go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging that directly contributed to revenue growth and market expansion.
- NYC-based is preferred, but remote is an option for the right person
Why Join Dataplor
- Lead and define the marketing strategy at a global, high-growth data company
- Work with a fully remote team that values ownership, execution, and trust
- Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
- Mission-driven work with the opportunity to create lasting impact

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
