We are looking for a VP of Marketing to build Catalant into the world’s leading consulting brand, modeling ourselves on true industry-transformers like Uber, AirBnB and Amazon. This role will report directly to our President and CCO and is a key member of our extended Executive Leadership Team.
We are looking for an experienced marketing leader eager to innovate and rapidly test and scale the first disruptive brand in global top-management consulting and one of the first B2B Marketplaces focused on large enterprises.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building and scaling challenger brands in professional services and B2B environments. Success in this role requires deep experience engaging with senior executives and investor relations, along with a solid understanding of the consulting industry.
Location:
Candidates must be East Coast-based or open to relocation, with monthly travel to Boston required at a minimum.
What you'll do:
- Develop, lead and drive Catalant’s Marketing strategy working effectively with the executive team to strengthen our brand and ensure a clear, aligned vision for our market positioning as we scale.
- Develop and oversee execution of our Marketing strategy as well as manage sub-functions across Product Marketing, Content, Design, and Demand Generation, Public Relations, Media, Digital Marketing.
- Drive the use of behavioral and market data to grow our understanding and communication of the value Catalant brings.
- Evolve our core messaging to ensure we have a simple, direct, specific value proposition to our clients and exerts, which should evolve over time as we continue to increase the value we deliver.
- Develop and continuously reinforce Catalant’s brand identity (positioning, attributes, visuals)
- Develop and oversee execution of our content strategy to support our evolving market position and support both a user-based and account-based strategy.
- Partner with product leadership to evolve our product marketing strategy and ensure our product roadmap and strategy and our marketing strategy are aligned.
- Partner with Expert experience leadership to ensure delivery of consistent message and value across the Expert community.
- Manage the marketing team with a focus on metrics driven outcomes, both working with the team to develop KPIs and goals as well as driving a culture of accountability for those metrics and outcomes.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a best-in-class marketing team
What you'll bring:
- Accomplished, metric and data-driven senior marketing leader (10+ years experience) with proven ability to implement winning marketing strategies and position products and solutions
- Deep expertise developing and building challenger brands in a B2B, technology platform/professional services environmentDemonstrated experience repositioning and growing brands in high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of the management consulting industry, strong experience building trust with senior executives
- Proven success in leading marketing initiatives within relationship-focused professional services sales environments.
- Experience driving marketing for a B2B technology company, and experience leading teams across Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, Content, Product Marketing and Design/Visual Teams
- Proven success building, evolving, scaling, and inspiring a strong, data-driven Marketing team; known for hiring and developing top tier talent
- Effective communication skills across a variety of mediums
- Experience executing in Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, Marketing analytics, and / or thought leadership development. (While it’s unlikely you’ll be an expert in all areas of the business, familiarity with and ability to oversee each aspect of marketing will be critical)
