ABOUT MARCHAY

Marchay is a curated, membership-based travel service and community for some of the world’s most sophisticated travelers. Broadly recognized as one of the country’s most elite luxury travel services, Marchay provides members with dedicated, unbiased support from a highly experienced travel team. Membership includes unlimited bespoke trip planning and execution, access to pre-vetted private homes and villas, and preferred partner benefits at more than 1,200 luxury hotels worldwide.

ROLE SUMMARY

Marchay is looking for a modern content strategist with a strong growth mindset to help drive our next stage of growth.

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, AI-native marketer who knows how to turn exceptional travel expertise into content that drives discovery, engagement, and new member acquisition.

Your primary focus will be top-of-funnel growth: finding new ways to reach the right prospective members and building a modern, scalable content engine to support that growth.

You’ll use AI and modern marketing tools to move quickly across SEO, social, video, content creation and distribution, landing pages, analytics, and experimentation. You should be someone who likes to build, test, learn, and improve—not simply manage agencies or write briefs.

At the same time, luxury sensibility is essential. You understand exclusivity, discretion, exceptional service, and the expectations of a sophisticated, affluent audience. Growth at Marchay must always feel consistent with the brand.

Please note that this is a remote role.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute a content-led strategy to drive awareness and qualified member acquisition.
  • Use AI extensively to research, create, optimize, repurpose, and distribute content across SEO, social, video, and emerging channels.
  • Build and implement modern marketing tools, automations, dashboards, and workflows that allow a small team to accomplish more.
  • Develop Marchay’s SEO and digital discovery strategy, including emerging AI-driven search.
  • Rapidly test new content, channels, landing pages, partnerships, and acquisition ideas—and use data to determine what to scale.
  • Turn Marchay’s proprietary travel knowledge into compelling, scalable content.
  • Help build toward more personalized, AI-driven content experiences for prospects and members.
  • Maintain a sophisticated and consistent Marchay voice and brand across everything we produce.

Requirements

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • A hands-on content and growth strategist, rather than a traditional journalist.
  • Deep fluency with AI tools and a demonstrated ability to use them to work faster, smarter, and at greater scale.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, social, content distribution, analytics, conversion, and digital acquisition.
  • Comfortable personally implementing new tools, workflows, automations, and experiments.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, curious, and highly biased toward action.
  • Excellent editorial judgment and a strong instinct for what makes content engaging and valuable.
  • A genuine understanding of luxury travel, or luxury brands, and affluent consumers.
  • Someone who understands the difference between generating more attention and generating the right attention.

We’re looking for someone who can combine travel, content, growth, AI, and exceptional judgment to build the next generation of Marchay’s acquisition engine.

  • Career Growth: Opportunity to develop toward a senior leadership role, with increasing ownership and strategic decision-making over time.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
