Description

We are monday.com, a global software company transforming how businesses run. Our product suite can adapt to the needs of diverse industries and use cases within one powerful platform, empowering ~245,000 customers worldwide to reimagine how work gets done, drive greater efficiency, and scale like never before.

With over 2,500 employees across the globe, we grow by prioritizing transparency and knowledge sharing. We care about the impact you make, not the hours you clock, so we encourage initiative, ownership, and fresh thinking. We back our people with flexible work, wellness and mental health support, and a work environment built on collaboration.

We're seeking an experienced, versatile analyst to join the office of the CEOs and lead company-wide monitoring efforts of our business funnel. This is a senior role with leadership interfaces, pivotal impact and high visibility. You will assume ownership of key reporting and research flows covering monday.com’s core business engines, in collaboration with senior partners from Product, Sales, Marketing and other key departments. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our business strategy, product development, and customer experience.

The CEOs office defines, measures, and advances monday.com’s core priorities. Members of the team are leaders in their respective domains of expertise (data analysis, data science, design and software engineering), collaborating with senior partners from all divisions to advance the company's core agenda and key projects.

About The Role
  • Assume co-ownership of monitoring flows to track key indicators of our business health. Optimize existing tools and build new ones as needed. Utilize data from various sources and your analytical and statistical expertise to create visibility, identify early issues and create leverages for action
  • Lead investigations into funnel issues in collaboration with other groups, build ceremonies and protocols to ensure business health and periodically report to leadership on the state of the business.
  • Build appealing, compelling dashboards and reports to translate data into meaningful representations that become vital decision-making tools for your consumers
  • Become a champion for high-quality data work across the organization, mentoring and guiding junior colleagues, setting standards for exceptional work by sharing examples and best practices, and becoming a leading contributor to the growing data community at monday

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior analyst or business-oriented data scientist in non-academic settings; demonstrated record of conceiving, designing, and shipping successful data analytics projects that drove business impact (interesting failures are also okay)
  • Advantage - leadership experience, e.g. current team or group leaders looking to return to a hands-on role with high impact and senior leadership interfaces
  • Excellent SQL skills; strong control of at least one popular BI tool such as Tableau or Looker
  • Advantage - proficiency in a scripting language used for data analysis (e.g. R, Python), or familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing
  • Great communication skills with a penchant for data visualization and storytelling

An excellent candidate will:

  • Have strong business aptitude, including familiarity with common methodologies and frameworks for at least two of the three following domains - marketing, product, or financial analytics
  • Possess top-notch analytical and technical skills, capable of owning a full data flow: problem definition, data collection and modeling, analysis and reporting
  • Communicate highly effectively - be capable of identifying and extracting concise bottom lines, providing appropriate context, and creating compelling visualizations
  • Thrive working alongside colleagues from various domains, inspiring trust and building successful partnerships and processes

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
