At Salted, we believe the future of restaurants doesn’t look anything like what we see today. The most important brands will be built outside four walls and will find new, innovative ways to build deep relationships with their customers. Currently, Salted is the largest delivery-first restaurant group in the US, with locations in 10 states and 20+ cities. We build, own and operate better-for-you restaurant brands that define how a new generation of customers want to eat. More info on our website.

We’re looking for a Head of Brand Marketing who will lead the charge as we turn our brands into household names. The right candidate is a passionate builder, a problem solver, a big thinker, and someone who has a pulse for how brands win their way into not only the culture zeitgeist, but the hearts and minds of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identity development and storytelling behind our brands, with a primary focus on our flagship brand, moonbowls.
  • Ensure the consistency of our brand messaging and value proposition across all customer touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the CEO and R&D team to guide our culinary roadmap from a brand and market opportunity perspective (ie, How do we best reflect our brand values in our culinary offerings? What are the culinary and cultural trends that map to our brand values and should be on our roadmap?)
  • Own the post-purchase customer journey to maximize order frequency and customer lifetime value. You will spearhead retention strategies, digital loyalty initiatives, and occasion-based campaigns that drive repeat ordering behavior and brand stickiness. TLDR: you will drive evangelism!
  • Develop and manage a holistic strategy for introducing our brands into new markets, including social media and community outreach.
  • Develop high ROI opportunities to collaborate with digital influencers and build community engagement.
  • Direct the editorial strategy across all brand channels, creating a cohesive narrative that boosts community interaction and achieves sales targets.
  • Oversee the external brand communications strategy, shaping public perception with general and targeted media outlets
  • Partner directly with the CEO on high-level strategic planning and thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Track record of making brands pop.
  • Builder mentality with a deep passion for storytelling.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of customer behavior, cultural trends, and storytelling across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Demonstrated success launching breakthrough campaigns, driving revenue growth, and building brand equity.
  • Experience managing teams and working collaboratively across an organization.
  • Experience working at a high growth company is a big plus.

Salary Range:

$150k-$220k

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans
  • 401k with up to a 4% employer match after one year
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Remote Work (but big plus if you are located in or willing to relocate to LA)
  • Paid Family Leave

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
