About This Role
As Jubilee’s Head of App, you’ll lead the growth, product strategy, and monetization of our Nectar dating app! Nectar is a next-generation dating platform built to reshape online dating for young people through deeper compatibility and more meaningful connection. By combining personality and relationship insights into a proprietary compatibility score, Nectar creates a dating experience that feels more thoughtful, intentional, and valuable for users. You’ll drive user engagement, retention, and revenue through impactful feature development, thoughtful monetization strategies, and data-informed decision making. From optimizing subscriptions and conversion funnels to identifying new opportunities for growth, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the product and scaling its business impact.

This is a highly collaborative leadership role where you’ll work closely with marketing, creative, product, and leadership to build an app experience that genuinely resonates with Gen-Z audiences!
What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the overall app strategy, growth roadmap, and monetization initiatives for Nectar
  • Own key app performance metrics including user growth, engagement, retention, conversion, and revenue
  • Collaborate with a team of full-time and senior engineers across mobile and backend development
  • Partner closely with product, marketing, design, and leadership to prioritize features and drive business outcomes
  • Optimize monetization strategies including subscriptions, premium features, in-app purchases, and conversion funnels
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on user acquisition strategies, lifecycle marketing, and growth experiments
  • Use data, analytics, and user insights to inform product decisions and identify growth opportunities
  • Help shape the long-term vision of Nectar as we continue scaling the platform and expanding its impact

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of experience in app leadership, software engineering, product engineering roles
  • Proven track record of scaling high-growth products with strong engagement, retention, and revenue performance
  • Experience leading and managing high-performing engineering & product teams
  • Strong understanding of consumer mobile apps, growth strategy, and monetization models
  • Deep understanding of Gen-Z audiences, internet culture, and emerging digital trends
  • Highly collaborative leader who works effectively across product, marketing, creative, and executive teams
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to drive product and growth decisions
  • Passionate about building products that create meaningful connection and cultural impact
  • Experience working on social, community-driven, or dating apps is a major plus!

Work Model
At Jubilee, we follow a hybrid work model — We’re in the El Segundo office 3 days a week and remote for 2. So, you’ll need to be local or ready to make the move!
