Outset invented a better way to do research: AI-powered user interviews.

Global brands like Hubspot, Microsoft, Uber and Nestle use Outset to achieve deeper, qualitative insights about their users at unprecedented speed and scale.

The research industry is massive (>$140B and growing) and ripe for disruption. Incumbents are outdated, slow, and burdened by high-cost services. That's our opportunity.

Outset is backed by top Silicon Valley investors and raised a $30M Series B in December 2025—less than six months after our Series A—led by Radical Ventures with participation from M12 (Microsoft’s venture arm), 8VC, Y Combinator, and Adverb Ventures.

The raise follows a breakout year, with our business growing 8x as enterprise customers across industries adopt our category, AI‑moderated research, as the new standard for understanding people.

We’re a tight-knit team serving some of the world’s largest enterprises.

We’re looking for a strategic, resourceful GTM Sourcer to build strong, diverse talent pipelines for our go-to-market organization. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys finding hard to reach talent, turning market insight into hiring strategy, and operating with urgency in a fast-growing startup environment. You’ll partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to help shape the teams that drive our next stage of growth.

Responsibilities
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies for high-priority GTM roles.

  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, talent intelligence platforms, professional communities, referrals, events, and creative outreach channels.

  • Develop deep market maps and talent pipelines for priority functions, geographies, industries, and competitor organizations.

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate candidate profiles, define target talent pools, and translate business needs into effective sourcing plans.

  • Conduct initial outreach and candidate screens to assess relevant experience, motivation, location, compensation alignment, and interest.

  • Craft personalized, compelling outreach that clearly communicates the company mission, product, culture, growth stage, and role opportunity.

  • Maintain accurate candidate activity, pipeline data, and sourcing insights in Ashby.

  • Track and report on sourcing activity, outreach conversion, pipeline health, diversity representation, and quality of sourced candidates.

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospective candidates, even when there is not an immediate role fit.

  • Partner with the broader People and Talent team on employer-brand initiatives, referral programs, talent events, and inclusive sourcing strategies.

  • Continuously test and improve sourcing channels, messaging, search strategies, and workflow automation to increase speed and quality.

Qualifications
  • 3 -6 years of sourcing experience, with meaningful exposure and experience in GTM hiring.

  • Experience working in a startup, high-growth company, recruiting agency, or similarly fast-paced environment.

  • Strong command of LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search; familiarity with Ashby, Juicebox a plus.

  • Ability to understand a hiring profile beyond a job title, including sales segment, deal size, buyer persona, territory, industry, product complexity, sales methodology, and growth-stage experience.

  • Excellent written communication and a strong instinct for personalized, high-conversion candidate outreach.

  • Strong research, organization, and project-management skills; able to manage multiple searches and shifting priorities at once.

  • Comfort using data to diagnose pipeline gaps, assess channel effectiveness, and improve sourcing strategy.

  • A consultative approach to working with recruiters and hiring managers, including the confidence to challenge assumptions with market data.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
