The GTM Growth Lead (ABM) will build an outbound pipeline engine, define targeting and messaging strategies, and create playbooks for sales enablement. They will work closely with the founder to develop a scalable GTM system focused on ABM execution, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified meetings and measurable pipeline contributions from outbound efforts.
The summary above was generated by AI

Forager is a fast-growing data-as-a-service platform providing high-accuracy people and company data to platforms and teams that rely on data to power GTM and recruiting workflows.

We’re building a repeatable, scalable outbound GTM engine targeting data-driven SaaS platforms (sales tech, recruiting tech, AI tools, and data platforms). This is a high-impact role working directly with the founder to design and execute that system from the ground up.

The Role

We’re hiring a GTM Growth Lead (ABM) to build and own our outbound pipeline engine.

This is not a traditional growth marketing role. The focus is:

  • outbound ABM
  • pipeline creation
  • system design
  • experimentation
  • sales enablement

You will define who we target, how we prioritize accounts, how we engage them, and how we build a repeatable, signal-driven GTM engine.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain the TAM
    • Define ICP, segmentation, and targeting
    • Create an evergreen system to identify high-fit accounts
    • Develop account scoring (Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3)
  • Own the outbound motion
    • Design messaging and sequences (email + LinkedIn)
    • Work directly with SDR to improve reply rates and meeting conversion
    • Run weekly experiments (targeting, messaging, offers)
  • Build the GTM system
    • Connect TAM → CRM → outbound workflows
    • Ensure accounts and contacts are enriched and up to date
    • Define tracking for pipeline and engagement
  • Develop signal-driven outreach
    • Identify triggers (hiring, product launches, funding, etc.)
    • Build a system to prioritize accounts based on signals
  • Create playbooks and enable the team
    • Develop repeatable ABM playbooks (1:1 and scaled)
    • Build messaging templates and objection handling
    • Train SDRs and document processes for scale
  • Support deal execution
    • Help create assets (case studies, calculators, data samples)
    • Incorporate sales feedback into messaging and targeting

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent Sales-Accepted Tier 1 / Tier 2 meetings held
  • Strong outbound conversion (reply rate → meeting rate)
  • A clear, repeatable outbound playbook

Measurable pipeline contribution from outbound

Important Note: This role is focused on outbound pipeline creation and ABM execution, not paid acquisition or traditional growth marketing.

Requirements
  • Proven experience building outbound / ABM pipeline
  • Track record of generating qualified meetings or pipeline
  • Strong understanding of ICP, targeting, and messaging
  • Hands-on operator (not just strategy)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup
  • Deep experience with Clay, Sales Nav, or sequencing tools
  • Experience with SaaS platforms (GTM, recruiting, data, AI)
  • Experience training SDRs and building playbooks

Benefits
  • Build the outbound GTM engine from scratch
  • Work directly with the founder
  • High ownership and visible impact on revenue
  • Opportunity to shape how the company scales

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
