Superhuman offers a dynamic hybrid model, and candidates in this role can be based remotely. You may be expected to travel to meet in person during your team’s scheduled collaboration weeks. Managers will determine in-person time according to business needs.

This hybrid approach helps foster trust, innovation, and a strong team culture, with the flexibility of working from home, whenever you need focus time.

The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious growth goals across Grammarly.com, Superhuman.com, and related web properties, we’re looking for a Group Manager of Growth and Website Content to join our broader Growth Marketing team.

Reporting to the Director of Organic and Website Growth, you will manage a small team of content marketers who are each responsible for the growth and web content of an individual product line. Working with your team, you will turn company and Growth strategy into actionable website content strategies that drive acquisition, conversion, and product understanding.

You will not directly own SEO or paid marketing channels, but you will partner closely with channel owners and cross-functional stakeholders—including Brand, Product, and Product Marketing—to ensure website content supports business priorities, user needs, and growth opportunities.

This is a player-coach role. In addition to leading the team, you will be expected to contribute as an individual contributor by creating and updating high-priority content yourself—particularly content that represents our full suite of products and broader cross-site or cross-business themes.

In this role, you will:

Lead the Growth and Website Content Strategy

  • Own content strategy across websites and other owned surfaces, ensuring the right content is created, maintained, and prioritized for different audiences, products, and growth motions.

  • Plan and execute content roadmaps on annual and quarterly cadences, while staying flexible as business priorities evolve.

  • Partner with channel owners, brand, and product marketing on topical content strategy across both websites. Drive content strategy to drive growth via these topics.

Manage and Grow a Small, High-Impact Team

  • Manage and coach a small team of growth and website content marketers, providing actionable feedback and supporting their long-term career development.

  • Help team members grow their content strategy and management skills by identifying patterns in their work, coaching strategic judgment, and helping them course-correct when needed.

  • Upskill the team on AI-assisted content creation, content engineering, and modern workflows that increase output without compromising quality.

  • Foster strong ownership and deep expertise, supporting embedded team members to connect business-unit needs to broader website and Growth goals.

  • Guide tradeoffs across competing priorities and keep the team focused on the highest-impact work.

Own Content Execution and Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the creation and updating of content across our website portfolio, including key content types such as product pages, SEO content, paid landing pages, and others.

  • Contribute directly as an individual contributor by creating and updating select content yourself, especially content that describes our broader product suite, requires cross-portfolio ownership, or touches on areas of broad topical expertise.

  • Ensure your team delivers against roadmap commitments each quarter, using the right mix of internal resources, freelancers, AI-enabled workflows, and hands-on execution when needed.

  • Strengthen content systems and processes, including brief development, reviews, and quality control.

  • Drive AI content production best practices across the team, balancing speed and efficiency with high-quality, human-led ideation and editorial judgment.

  • Help shape the team’s tooling, workflows, and resourcing approach to scale content effectively.

Qualifications
  • Has 7+ years of experience in content strategy, web marketing, growth content, website content management, or a related field, with 2+ years managing people.

  • Has demonstrated experience developing and executing website content strategies that support acquisition, conversion, and product or brand storytelling across complex web environments.

  • Experience implementing AI-assisted content workflows or content automation systems while maintaining strong editorial quality.

  • Is comfortable operating as a player-coach and can balance team leadership with direct, hands-on content creation and editing when needed.

  • Knows how to identify user intent and create content that meets that intent, using both qualitative inputs and quantitative data to make informed decisions.

  • Can connect brand and product frameworks to real user needs and translate strategy into effective website content.

  • Understands best practices for and has experience with creating SEO and AEO-focused pages, paid landing pages, and product-related web experiences, and brings working knowledge of SEO, website CRO, and paid acquisition.

  • Has strong operational judgment and can build roadmaps, briefs, processes, and quality-control mechanisms that help teams produce excellent content consistently.

  • Is a strong people manager who can coach content strategists and managers, support career growth, and elevate the quality of both strategy and execution.

  • Is able to meet in person for their team’s scheduled collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary to the hub where their team is based.

  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working on high-traffic websites or multi-site portfolios.

  • Experience in AI, SaaS, productivity, or writing tools.

  • Experience working within CMS-driven web environments and helping teams scale content production systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

  • Paid parental leave

  • 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and flexible sick time

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
