POSITION OVERVIEW
The Greenkeeper I performs routine manual labor under the direction of the Superintendent or Foreman to support golf course and desert landscape maintenance. Responsibilities include trimming, raking, weeding, and operating small hand-powered equipment to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Operate hedge trimmers, loppers, hand pruners, hula hoes, and other small tools for desert landscape maintenance.
- Perform pruning, weeding, raking, and related manual labor tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Must be able to withstand repetitive motions and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Leadership – Maintain a positive, professional attitude and promote Company values.
- Teamwork – Work cooperatively and support collaboration among coworkers.
- Safety – Follow all safe work practices and attend required Cal/OSHA safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage time, adapt to change, and work in a variety of conditions.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and work well with others.
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to squat, kneel, stoop, and perform overhead trimming.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
