Job Description
About the role:
Provide a brief overview describing the primary purpose and objectives of the role.
Lead the development and execution of MDM strategies, enhancing data quality, agility and integration across LOCs and regions. Collaborate with other DD&T teams and functions and LOCs to translate business needs & use cases MDM roadmap, ensure sustainable governance, and build a robust data foundation that enables the business objectives of GPD.
How the job will contribute:
  • Develop and execute master data management (MDM) strategy. Refine & redesign how to evolve and simplify MDM across LOCs and regions and to build a solid foundation for strategic programs such as CX of the future.
  • Plan and execute MDM use cases roadmap to enhance data quality, productivity, and insights, initially in the LOCs and functions.
  • Work with data governance & sourcing lead to ensure capabilities exist in ICC that make data governance sustainable and resource efficient, such as MDM service lead and data stewards.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality.
  • Act as thought leader and SME for MDM in GPD.
  • Partner with global & regional functions to plan evolution and activation of MDM across all data domains and that MDM is integrated and able to support use cases and use cases for LOCs & functions.
  • Communicate around and participate in driving community of practice around data management to LOCs and functions in regions.
  • Support with data literacy & data culture initiatives across GPD to elevate capabilities across the organization
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics and digital excellence leads to ensure use cases are enabled by MDM.

What you bring to Takeda:
  • Degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field,
  • 8+ years of relevant technical experience, including systems analysis, design and implementation of MDM.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and ability to translate & connect business strategy with MDM
  • Expert knowledge/SME in Informatic MDM and related data management technologies
  • Project management skills
  • Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical business processes & regulatory requirements processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of the application development/project management process.
  • A degree of travel may be re required.
