Government Contracts Manager 

This is a unique opportunity to join a lean legal team which will give you wide ownership and the experience of supporting multiple functions of the business that will directly contribute to our mission of global connectivity in the next phase of hypergrowth. 

This position will serve both the Legal Team and USG Program contract administration activities. The position will also be responsible for shaping and influencing the government regulatory environment conducive to Astranis business objectives. The ideal candidate for this role has both business and legal training as well as customer-facing experience with the civil space community, including NASA and the Department of Defense. This position will include personal interaction with Government program managers, senior decision makers, industry partners, and stakeholder associations. The position involves regular exchanges with Astranis senior management, program management, engineering, operations, and legal team. The position will report to the General Counsel. 

Role
  • Support Astranis's compliance activities, including collaboration with Astranis internal teams and external consultants, and ownership of relevant document production and execution
  • Manage USG contract administration, including closely coordinating with Astranis Legal to ensure company compliance with relevant FAR clauses, representations and certificates, and proposal submittal requirements
  • Support Astranis's monitoring of and engagement with administrative proceedings across a range of USG and other national government agencies
  • Execute policy and regulatory strategies in support of Astranis business priorities
Requirements
  • B.S./B.A., J.D. is a plus but not required  
  • Working knowledge of civil space organizations and programs
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and USG contract structures
  • Working knowledge of government regulatory structures for commercial space industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Bonus
  • Working knowledge of commercial SATCOM industry
  • Knowledge of EAR/ITAR

Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package. Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
Base Salary
$115,000$160,000 USD
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
