About the Role

SpotDraft is hiring an SDR Manager to own our outbound pipeline engine across the US and EMEA. Reporting directly to the CMO and partnering closely with Sales leadership, you will lead a distributed team of 8–10 SDRs and architect the playbooks, systems, and targeting motions that drive qualified pipeline.

This is a true player-coach seat built for an operator who pairs senior pattern recognition with a continuous learner mindset. As we scale upmarket into the Enterprise, you have the strategic runway to diagnose funnel performance alongside executive leadership, combined with the frontline curiosity to get into the weeds with reps, test modern AI and intent tooling, and define what elite outbound looks like at SpotDraft.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Leadership Experience: 5+ years in B2B SaaS business development, with 2+ years of proven experience leading and coaching an outbound SDR team.

  • Multi-Territory Fluency: You've managed or prospected across both US and European/UK markets and understand how buyer behaviour and messaging differ between the two.

  • Modern Outbound Stack Fluency: You aren’t waiting for someone else to build everything. You understand modern prospecting workflows—whether that’s Clay enrichment waterfalls, intent data triggers, or AI-assisted research.

  • Pipeline Math Literacy: You don't just count dials; you understand reverse-funnel metrics, conversion ratios across deal stages, and how to spot pipeline drop-offs early.

  • High Standards for Coaching: You take a hands-on approach to call reviews, objection handling, and helping reps execute with confidence and consistency.

  • Domain Exposure: Experience in LegalTech, CLM, or complex horizontal workflow SaaS is a strong plus.

What you’ll own:
  • Hire, Coach and Lead Reps: Lead a team of 8-10 SDRs across the US and EMEA. Run focused, tactical 1:1s centered around pipeline math, conversion diagnosis, and live call coaching to keep reps pacing to target.

  • Build Modern Playbooks: Replace generic email blasts with targeted, multi-threaded plays (calls, video, social, intent-triggered touches). You’ll write and maintain the playbooks that teach reps how to break into mid-market and complex Enterprise accounts.

  • Own the Outbound Pipeline: Take end-to-end accountability for outbound pipeline health across both territories. Ensure qualification standards are tight and handoffs to Sales are seamless.

  • Architect the Tech Stack: Take full ownership of our tooling. You decide what data workflows get built, where automation saves reps time, and what tools we should test next.

  • Diagnose the Funnel: Run the numbers. Track cohort velocity, channel conversion, and activity-to-outcome ratios to give revenue leadership clear, unvarnished visibility into what's working.

  • Foster a High-Ownership Culture: Build an environment where wins are celebrated, losses are dissected constructively, and reps take pride in their craft.

SpotDraft is a Great Fit If:
  • You have a builder's itch: You’d rather design the engine and refine playbooks than manage a rigid, legacy system.

  • You're a continuous learner: You pay attention to how outbound is changing and actively experiment with new tools and tactics.

  • You carry a strong sense of urgency: You believe speed, deliberate execution, and quick feedback loops beat over-planning.

  • You care about craft: You hold your team to high standards because you believe great prospecting is a skill, not just a volume game.

Why SpotDraft?
  • Brilliant teammates—Work with some of the sharpest minds in legal tech.

  • Expand your network—Interact with top founders, investors, and industry leaders.

  • Real impact—Take ownership of projects and see your work in action.

  • Big goals, bold moves—We trust you to deliver, innovate, and push boundaries.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
