This position reports to the Global Head, Business Transformation and is responsible for architecting, documenting, and improving Woolpert’s end-to-end enterprise business processes, from lead generation and business development through project delivery, billing, revenue recognition, cash application, and related financial and system impacts. This role partners with executive and senior operational leaders to translate complex business operations into scalable process architecture, governance standards, and transformation roadmaps that improve enterprise alignment, decision-making, controls, and operational effectiveness.

This position works independently in ambiguous, cross-functional environments and uses sound judgment to define process scope, identify enterprise risks and dependencies, and recommend future-state solutions that support business transformation priorities.

What You Will Do:

  • Map and architect Woolpert’s end-to-end business lifecycle, including market intelligence, lead generation, qualification, business development, proposal/selection, contract setup, project initiation, project delivery, billing, collections, revenue flow, and related systems and controls.
  • Serve as a strategic process advisor by translating enterprise business objectives into current-state and future-state process architecture, identifying cross-functional dependencies, decision points, control gaps, and opportunities to simplify and scale Woolpert’s operating model.
  • Develop enterprise process architecture artifacts, value-stream maps, process models, decision flows, role-based process views, accountability matrices, and executive-ready documentation that clarify how work moves across functions, systems, controls, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with business, finance, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into future-state process designs, system implications, governance needs, and prioritized transformation recommendations.
  • Support enterprise process governance by maintaining reusable process documentation, templates, standards, and reference materials that promote consistency, scalability, knowledge transfer, and adoption of process practices.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather process data, validate current-state and future-state processes, and align teams on prioritized improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations using qualitative and quantitative analysis to communicate process issues, risks, dependencies, and improvement options.
  • Evaluate emerging business process practices and technology-enabled opportunities that can streamline workflows, reduce process variation, and improve operating efficiency.
  • Support ERP modernization, integration, and transformation initiatives by documenting business processes and identifying process impacts, risks, and readiness considerations.
  • Provide methodology guidance and quality review for enterprise process documentation to promote consistency, scalability, and adoption of process standards.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, organizational development, information systems, engineering, finance, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise process architecture, business process analysis, value-stream mapping, business capability mapping, operating model design, workflow documentation, process improvement methods, governance frameworks, and transformation planning.
  • Ability to analyze complex process issues, assess requirements, identify enterprise risks and dependencies, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead workshops, influence senior stakeholders, support enterprise-level decision-making, and build alignment across business, finance, operations, and technology teams.
  • Ability to create clear process maps, process documentation, reports, presentations, and executive-ready materials for business and technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of process/workflow modeling tools, business analysis practices, ERP-enabled process design, and technology-enabled improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently with significant autonomy and sound judgment in ambiguous, complex, and cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to connect operational processes to financial, technology, control, and client-delivery outcomes.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, organizational development, operations management, information systems, engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Experience supporting ERP modernization, merger/acquisition integration, enterprise transformation, or cross-functional operating model initiatives preferred.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, OR TRAINING:

  • Certification or training in business process management, Lean, Six Sigma, business analysis, enterprise architecture, or change management preferred.

 PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of process mining, workflow automation, ERP-enabled process design, business architecture, and change management practices.
  • Ability to apply process governance practices in a matrixed, project-based, and geographically distributed environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
