Global Finance partners with Capital Group (CG) business units to proactively provide relevant, timely and accurate financial reporting, innovative analysis and business insights that impact strategic decision-making while protecting the interests of investors/clients, associates and CG shareholders.

As the Global Finance Senior Manager – Operating Group Finance, you will serve as a strategic finance partner and internal consultant to Global Technology senior leadership and governance bodies, applying a consulting mindset to complex and ambiguous business challenges to translate insights into clear, executive level storytelling to influence stakeholder decisions.

As a leader within Operating Group Finance, you will extend your impact beyond Global Technology by driving cross functional strategic initiatives, work transformation, capability building, and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor and internal consultant to Global Technology senior leadership and governance groups, providing clear, structured, and executive‑ready financial insights to inform critical decisions.

  • Drive finance‑led transformation and change initiatives, improving financial capabilities, operating models, and decision frameworks that strengthen business partnership across Global Technology.
  • Provide end‑to‑end finance project and program leadership, establishing clear scope, governance, milestones, and accountability to deliver results through completion.
  • Influence across a highly matrixed organization, aligning senior stakeholders with differing priorities and navigating ambiguity to drive results.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing finance team, setting direction, modeling Capital Group values, and delivering outcomes through others.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for.

  • I am a senior finance leader and strategic business partner with deep experience supporting executive leadership in complex, global organizations.
  • I bring deep experience in business management and consulting, leading technology functions through operating model transitions by combining strategic thinking, analytical rigor, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to frame and convey complex ideas into clear, understandable materials.
  • I am an effective thought leader and storyteller, able to influence decisions by connecting financial insights to business strategy and outcomes.
  • I have a proven track record of leading financial transformation and change, modernizing finance capabilities and enabling stronger enterprise decision‑making.
  • I am a disciplined finance project and program leader, known for execution rigor, stakeholder alignment, and getting complex initiatives across the finish line.
  • I lead with clarity, accountability, and purpose—developing leaders, setting expectations, and delivering results through teams.
  • I thrive in ambiguity, see the big picture, and break complex objectives into actionable plans that drive sustained impact.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
