The General Manager oversees operational management of Bonus.com, drives revenue growth, manages budgets, and leads diverse teams to optimize performance and achieve financial targets.
The General Manager plays a pivotal role in our dynamic affiliate marketing business, leading the operational management of our flagship property Bonus.com (“Bonus”). Reporting to the COO, this role is responsible for overseeing the profit and loss (P&L) for Bonus, leading cross-functional teams, and driving initiatives with intent and purpose to optimize performance and achieve revenue and EBITDA targets.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Lead a diverse team of professionals across various functions (a “Squad”) and collaborate regularly with the commercial, marketing, and product teams.
- Take ownership of the profit and loss statement for the assigned Bonus, including revenue, expenses, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies in conjunction with the Squad to maximize revenue and profitability while managing costs effectively.
- Manage the budget for Bonus, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, cost optimization, and efficiency improvements.
- Set clear and measurable success metrics and objectives and key results (OKRs) for Bonus and the Squad, aligned with overall company goals.
- Ensure accountability and operational alignment by establishing and leading recurring Squad ceremonies (including daily standups, retrospectives, metrics review, etc.) and any other process that will foster an efficiency-oriented culture.
- Track progress against OKRs and adjust strategies with the Squad as needed to achieve targets.
- Understand all relevant metrics and targets for Bonus, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and funnel metrics.
- Maintain a view on the overall performance of all funnel metrics, using relevant insights or expertise from dedicated teams.
- Monitor performance closely, identifying variances and issues proactively, and discussing and implementing corrective actions with the squad as necessary.
- Drive initiatives and projects with the Squad to increase revenue and improve EBITDA margins, leveraging insights from data analysis and market trends.
- Measure and report on the success of initiatives, highlighting improvements in revenue and profitability.
- Provide regular insights and reports to the COO or other stakeholders, as requested or on an as-needed basis.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and insights, and competitor analysis to enable informed strategic decision-making and knowledge cascading.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to develop new revenue streams beyond the traditional affiliate model, including complementary monetization strategies and partnerships.
- Collaborate with other General Managers, P&L owners, and peers to establish synergies, parallel experiments, and exchange insights and learnings to benefit the overall business.
- Proactively raise and/or participate in cross-team projects for revenue/cost optimization for the company.
LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing team performance effectively through the practicing of ongoing performance management, including conducting performance and regular 1-1 check-in meetings.
- Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador.
- Being approachable and available to the direct team and other stakeholders.
- Communicating effectively and ensuring information is delivered in a clear and timely manner.
- Collaborating with hiring managers and Human Resources team members for the recruitment and being actively involved in the selection of squad members.
- Enabling team and individual growth from the induction stage to ongoing learning and development.
TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the affiliate marketing or related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve business objectives through strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and effective execution. Possesses a strong business acumen and a track record of delivering measurable outcomes in a dynamic and competitive environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and in a matrix organizational structure is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- This position is 100% remote. Must be available regular business hours in your evening and/or weekend work on occasion. Must possessa stable, high-speed internet and working cellular telephone. Must be able to routinely perform indoor work with minimum noise levels. Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others.Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence, naturally or electronically and may include adaptive aids. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
- Physical Requirements: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 8 hours per day. At times, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities, as may be occasionally asked to travel to sites or events. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
