The General Manager, MD (Mating Disruption) & IoT Business is a senior leader accountable for the growth, profitability, and operational performance of the MD & IoT business line at Semios. As both a strategic leader and hands-on manager, the GM is responsible for leading the sales team, driving revenue growth, managing the business line P&L, and ensuring operational excellence.

This role requires a dynamic, commercially minded leader who can translate strategy into action, provide strong people leadership, and build cross-functional alignment across product, marketing, and operations teams. The GM will champion sales effectiveness, forecasting rigor, and customer-centric delivery to accelerate the business line’s impact and scalability.

What you will do:
Business Line Leadership

  • Lead the MD & IoT business line, setting direction and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Own the P&L and drive business performance and sustainable growth.
  • Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics.
  • Establish performance metrics and ensure data-driven decision-making.

Sales Strategy & Team Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue and customer growth.
  • Coach and lead the sales team to achieve high performance and accountability.
  • Foster a high-trust, high-performance culture rooted in Semios’ values.
  • Develop talent and strengthen team capabilities for the future.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Stay close to customers and market trends to inform commercial strategy and product development.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Field Services Operations

  • Establish an operating model for field/installation services to meet KPIs for utilization and profitability 
  • Coach and lead the team to achieve high performance and accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, operations, and finance to align on delivery, innovation, and operational readiness.
  • Champion collaboration to accelerate go-to-market execution.
Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • Senior leadership experience in sales-driven organizations, ideally with P&L ownership.
  • Proven success leading and scaling B2B sales teams, preferably in tech-enabled or IoT businesses.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Experience navigating complex product and solution selling environments.
  • Background in agriculture, environmental technologies, or hardware/software services is a strong asset.
  • Commercial Acumen – Understands the drivers of growth and profitability; makes smart, market-informed business decisions.
  • Sales Leadership – Inspires teams, drives accountability, and builds customer-focused sales organizations.
  • Operational Discipline – Brings structure and rigor to forecasting, planning, and performance tracking.
  • Continuous Improvement - Drives efficiencies to continuously improve productivity
  • Strategic Influence – Able to influence cross-functionally and translate strategy into action.
  • Customer Centricity – Champions the customer at every touchpoint, ensuring consistent delivery of value.
  • Team Builder – Develops people and culture; empowers others and builds strong bench strength.
  • Adaptability – Operates effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment with evolving customer and market needs.

Salary range: $180,000 to $220,000USD per year plus bonus
Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and experience, geographic location, as well as business and organizational needs.

Working conditions: This role may involve occasional travel as per business needs.
