What will you do at Presence?

The General Manager, Commercial Growth Products will play a pivotal role in driving topline growth for Presence by managing high-potential existing businesses as well as incubating new products to meet the needs of our school, clinician and agency customers. This leader will also be responsible for monitoring the competitive landscape and working cross-functionally to incubate new product ideas for bringing to market. Finally, this individual will oversee the development and maintenance of key revenue-driving partnerships for Presence. 

The ideal candidate will be a skilled cross-functional collaborator who is entrepreneurial, data-driven, and adept at influencing senior stakeholders. The GM will report to the Chief Commercial Officer. 

Primary Responsibilities?

New Business Topline Growth

  • Own and drive growth for Presence’s award-winning SaaS platform and expanded service offerings.
  • Lead the evolution of core value propositions and execution of GTM strategies in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
  • Analyze and evolve the pricing and packaging of these services based on customer feedback, competitive intelligence and operational considerations.
  • Act as a resource and champion of these business lines by leading and joining Sales trainings, customer pitches, and developing improved sales processes.

Customer Adoption & Satisfaction

  • Work with the Product team to develop the roadmap for these services by conducting research on user needs and the competitive landscape.
  • Oversee the delivery of services in collaboration with Sales, Operations and Service Design to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Monitor customer adoption and retention trends to improve customer stickiness.

Business Development & Commercial Strategy

  • Own the identification and negotiation of new revenue-generating partnerships, as well as the maintenance of existing revenue and content partnerships. 
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify new segments of the education market for entry or expansion and create a process for evaluating the potential ROI of proposed new products. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Operations, Finance and Sales to operationalize new product launches and ensure fulfillment readiness.
  • Define and track key commercial performance metrics to measure ROI of initiatives.
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer in shaping and communicating commercial growth strategy through internal and Board presentations.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in investment banking, consulting, P&L ownership, or business development.
  • Experience scaling business lines, specifically with SaaS business models, at companies with $100M+ revenue and/or rapid growth phases.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with strong ROI-driven decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and scaling growth initiatives.
  • Knowledge of special education, mental health services, K-12 education systems and the public-sector sales process preferred.
  • MBA preferred.

This role is also eligible to participate in Presence’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Salary range is $165,000-195,000

  • Presence is headquartered in New York City with our clients located throughout the U.S.
  • We support remote work from other locations in the US
  • This position will report to the Chief Commercial Officer 
  • All employees commit to be available on-camera for our Core Working Hours noon-5 pm EST M-F.
