About Moon

Moon is an ambitious, independent vertical SaaS company incubated by Home Organizers, a market leader with decades of proven success in home organization through its subsidiaries, including Closet World, Closets by Design, and Brio Water Technology. Born inside one of the industry's largest operators — 6,000+ employees, hundreds of thousands of new customers served annually — Moon is built on a rare advantage: we build for the home improvement industry from within it.

Our mission is to reinvent the home improvement experience end to end. From AI-driven marketing and in-home 3D design to sales, service, and operations, Moon unifies the entire customer and business journey on a single platform — supercharged by Luna, our proprietary AI engine. Where most operators stitch together disconnected tools that don't understand the homeowner, we're building the unified operating system the industry has never had. We're a rapidly growing team of committed builders, driven to reimagine how this industry sells, designs, and delivers — and to power the next generation of operators, from single-location dealers to national franchise networks.

Role Overview

You will build the designer's selling tool - .NET services behind a modern TypeScript front-end - on a team where everything you ship gets used by real professionals in real homes within days. This is a role for an engineer early in their career who wants compounding growth: senior engineers to learn from, real ownership from the start, and a product whose impact you can see in the field.

About the role

You will join a newly formed team early in its build-out, with an AI-native, continuous-delivery culture and direct access to the users of your work.

What you'll do

Build features across the stack: C#/.NET APIs and services, and the modern TypeScript front-end.

Ship continuously behind feature flags on the shared design system, meeting the team's quality standards every time.

Write automated tests as part of every change - quality here is engineered into the pipeline, not inspected afterward.

Work directly with the designers who use the product; turn their feedback into fast, precise iterations.

Learn the domain deeply - the workflows of in-home design and selling - because the best engineers here understand the business their code serves.

Grow fast: cross-review with senior engineers, increasing scope, and a path to owning features end to end.

Qualifications

2+ years of full-stack engineering; C#/.NET exposure preferred, strong web fundamentals required.

TypeScript proficiency; mobile or hybrid app exposure a plus.

Strong delivery instincts and a record of finishing what you start.

Comfortable with AI-assisted development - or eager to become excellent at it.

Curious about users and business impact, not just code.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
