Position Description

Front Desk / Receptionist

Department: Administration
Reports To: Assistant General Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Front Desk / Receptionist is the first point of contact for members and guests, creating a welcoming and professional experience that reflects Diablo Country Club’s tradition of excellence. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring exceptional service.

Reporting Relationship: Assistant General Manager

Work Performed

  • Greet and assist members and guests promptly and courteously, using names whenever possible.

  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.

  • Provide accurate information regarding club amenities, programs, and events.

  • Manage dining, and event reservations through the club’s reservation system.

  • Assist with guest registration and ensure compliance with club policies.

  • Handle member inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism, escalating as needed.

  • Support administrative functions including mail, data entry, communications, and other tasks as assigned by management. 

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless member and guest experiences.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Position

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or reception preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or reservation systems a plus.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent member and guest interaction.
