We're looking for someone who can jump in quickly, deliver quality work with minimal ramp-up time, and scale their involvement up or down as our needs shift.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and support the implementation of web and digital services projects such as website design and development, multimedia development, graphic design, electronic communications, database or IT tool design and development, and performance tracking and analysis.
  • Support the management and maintenance of the client website environment, including website design, configuration, updates, control/access monitoring, and archiving functions.
  • Develop and manage the processes for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and archiving web and digital content.
  • Design all digital products and interfaces to meet Section 508 compliance and other client accessibility standards
  • Ensure designs support plain language principles for federal communications
  • Design mobile-first responsive experiences optimized across all device sizes
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups for client review and stakeholder feedback
  • Develop and document design systems and component libraries for consistency and maintainability
Requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience. Alternatively, must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required with verbal and written fluency in English
  • Must be able to receive and maintain a federal security clearance (public trust level)
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles and practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Based in Washington, D.C for occasional onsite support.
  • Prior federal contracting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the energy sector preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
