Job Overview
We're launching a creator program across our portfolio of brands and are seeking a freelance independent contractor, or small independent studio, to design and deliver it.

This is a specialized, outcome-based engagement rather than a staff or project-management function. We're looking for an independent specialist who understands what makes short-form content work on Meta and TikTok and can translate that expertise into better creative at scale.

The contractor will deliver creator sourcing, creative direction and performance-based creative analysis. The goal is a repeatable creator engine that can generate hundreds of pieces of content each month and identify the creative worth putting paid media behind.

Scope of Work and Deliverables

  • Write creator briefs for each brand, covering hooks, angles, talking points and plaNorm specs for Meta and TikTok
  • Recruit, vet and onboard creators on Trybe and other channels
  • Keep creators engaged: fast responses, specific feedback, and celebraSng wins
  • Review submissions and request revisions
  • Work with our paid social team to launch winners as partnership/whitelisted ads
  • Analyze performance (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and turn the learnings into the next round of briefs

Requirements

Contractor Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience running UGC or creator programs for DTC, ecommerce or app-based brands.
  • A strong point of view on what makes short-form advertising convert, backed by actual results.
  • A track record of creator-made ads that scaled on Meta and/or TikTok
  • Experience evaluating creative based on performance rather than simply whether the content looks good.
  • Experience developing creator briefs, hooks and concepts that produce usable advertising content.
  • Demonstrated judgment in reviewing creative and giving creators specific, actionable feedback.
  • Experience working with creator marketplaces or platforms. Experience with Trybe is a strong plus.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and turn insights into practical creative direction.
  • An established independent business or small studio with your own tools, systems and workflow. No agency structure required.
  • Capacity to deliver high-volume creative production while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Strong communication, organization and follow-through.

Not a Fit if …

  • Your experience is mainly organic influencer or awareness campaigns
  • You can't show paid-ad results

What to Include in Your Proposal

Please address the following in your proposal:

  • What creator or UGC programs you have managed.
  • Which creator platforms or marketplaces you have used and what you learned from them.
  • Examples of short-form creative you've helped develop that performed particularly well.
  • How you evaluate whether a piece of creator content is worth putting paid spend behind.
  • How you have used performance data to improve subsequent creative.
  • Your proposed approach, timeline and deliverables for a high-volume creator program.

Engagement Terms

This is an independent contractor engagement, beginning with a short-term pilot and with potential for continued work based on results. The time required will depend on the scope you propose and the volume of content to be delivered. You determine your own hours and availability.

Please propose a fee structure (for example, per-deliverable, per-project, retainer or performance-based) based on the scope of work and your experience.

As an independent contractor, you will determine the means, methods, schedule and location of your work, provide your own equipment and software, and remain free to take on other clients. The engagement will be documented in a written independent contractor agreement.
How to Submit a Proposal

Please submit your background and relevant experience, along with examples of creator programs or shortform creative work you've managed and the results you've achieved. Include your proposed scope, timeline and fees.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
