About This Role
As a Freelance Director at Jubilee (and/or nectar), you will collaborate with our team and work on our hit shows! We’re looking for bold, high-performing creatives that are excited to work on our viral formats such as Surrounded, Odd One Out, Middle Ground, Test Your Radar, Versus 1, Swipe or Swap and more! You’ll work in step with our creative and production teams, work alongside our freelance talent, and manage our production schedules and budgets. This role requires a strong understanding of all aspects of production, the ability to communicate vision clearly, consistent creative ideation, an eagerness to learn, and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct videos on set for our existing hit shows (Odd One Out, Surrounded, Middle Ground, Test Your Radar, Versus 1, Swipe or Swap, etc.)
  • Ideate on creative ways to improve upon our existing formats to increase video performance
  • Organize and plan production according to a schedule (casting, coordinating, producing)
  • Communicate with our team on what resources are needed and actively find your own resources.
  • Off production notes and suggestions to guide our post team
  • Debrief with our team on the successes and learning points from production
  • Support our casting team and prepare cast for production

Who You Are

  • A creative with 3-5  years of experience making professional videos (ideally for YouTube)
  • Someone who understands the creative and technical aspects of production
  • An effective communicator who enjoys collaboration
  • Someone who is organized and detail oriented
  • Someone who enjoys and thrives working on set
  • Someone who is a creative and is constantly ideating/developing 
  • Someone who wants to challenge themself
  • Someone who can find humanity in unexpected situations
  • A storyteller with something to say
  • Someone familiar with Jubilee’s brand and mission
  • Someone familiar with Jubilee and nectar’s  hit formats (Surrounded, Odd One Out, Middle Ground, Test Your Radar, Versus 1, Swipe or Swap, etc.)

Compensation & Perks

  • Project Compensation  – approximately $1,000 per episode (we batch shoot!)
