As a Founding Generalist, you will support operations, finance, and marketing. Responsibilities include day-to-day management, problem-solving, and executing strategies to build a consumer brand from the ground up.

Hydra is hiring its first full-time employee. This is a true founding generalist role for someone who wants to help build a consumer brand from the ground up and touch every part of the business.
You’ll work directly with the founder and be involved in operations, finance, marketing, growth, and execution. The scope is wide on purpose. If you’re excited by variety, responsibility, and learning fast, this role will be energizing.
What you’ll do
Across the business
- Help run day-to-day operations and keep the business moving
- Take ideas from concept to execution across teams and partners
- Identify gaps and solve problems before they become issues
- Build early systems, processes, and documentation
- Be a reliable right hand to the founder
Operations
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners
- Manage inventory, POs, shipping, and fulfillment
- Support retail, wholesale, and DTC operations
- Own the details that keep things running smoothly
Finance
- Track spend, cash flow, and budgets
- Manage invoices, payments, and basic accounting workflows
- Support forecasting and planning
- Assist with investor updates, decks, and fundraising prep
Marketing & Growth
- Support execution across email, social, partnerships, and launches
- Coordinate with designers, creators, and agencies
- Help manage campaigns and timelines
- Track performance and help iterate based on results
