JOB SUMMARY:

SO WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Under the direction of the Field Superintendent, this position will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the operations strategic planning.
  • Assists with project scheduling and strategies, goals and expectations by reviewing plans and specs.
  • Must identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with construction operations (i.e.: installations, safety, materials, and personnel) ensuring the proper team selection for all construction projects, including assignment of Job Foreperson, Journeyperson and apprentices.
  • Responsible for implementing Safety Department protocols by reviewing and discussing required safety documents with the field personnel to ensure work is being performed in a safe manner.
  • Reviews and completes project documents to determine the proper staffing requirements.
  • Assists with completing internal documents and generating RFI’s for submission.
  • Trains field personnel and communicates project expectations, requirements and due dates with assigned detailers.
  • Mentor, train and develop top performing supervisors (succession planning) to meet current and future business needs.
  • Coordinates and communicates effectively with sub-contractors and different departments within ACCO.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?

  • Attends job site meetings to provide input for General Contractors and Project Managers.
  • Sets clear goals & expectations for detailers and/or field personnel.
  • Generates project progress/health reports with the assistance of the field support.
  • Responsible for evaluating field personnel accordingly.
  • Reviews and tracks project labor budgets.
  • Orders tools and equipment required to complete the project.
  • Ensure a quality product has been installed.
  • Accountable for returning tools and equipment.
  •  Accountable for returning excess materials to vendor for credit.
  • Adheres to and promotes company policies and procedures.
  • Instill a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect within the department.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper management.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE? 

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office including MS Word and MS Excel Word.
  • Able to utilize Google applications including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs.
  • Computer & Smart-phone skills accommodating electronic field-to-office software and communications.
