Reports to: The General Manager, Assistant General Manager & Ownership

 

FSLA Status: Salary Exempt

 

Position Pay Range: $80K to $90K based on level of skills & experience in relation to this position

 

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of the employees to ensure that the venue is running efficiently and profitably.
  • Directly supervises various employees on a daily basis in all departments.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ensures the hospitality of the guest.
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training applicants/employees.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work.
  • Appraises good performance and addresses poor performance properly and professionally in the presence of another manager.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves guest or employee issues.
  • Attends and participates in any necessary training sessions and department meetings, and also partakes in assessments.
  • Ensures cleanliness and efficient organization of the venue.
  • Maintains a strong and significant floor presence consistently
  • Consistently executes & maintains administration duties in relation to this position

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Extra time when or as needed based on business needs or Management direction
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  3. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or general areas throughout the restaurant to access any tools or equipment  for the position
  4. Constantly position self to maintain any equipment or tools necessary to the position
  5. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or stool to move or transfer equipment needed for the position
  6. Constantly works in indoor or outdoor weather condition/ temperatures
  7. Move, Transport, position, put, and or remove equipment up to 50 pounds (when necessary)
  8. Work in different spaces of the restaurant (mainly in the open dining area, offices, storage, kitchen, back or exterior of the restaurant)
  9. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  10. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these communication situations
  11. The ability to converse, discern, convey and express professionally when exchanging information or directing staff/peers in a professional work setting.
  12. The ability to observe details 
  13. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, calendar, copy machine and computer printer, label maker, laminator and or Toast system.

 

 

 

 

Experience/Skills:

 

  • 1 to 5 years progressive management experience in a full service Restaurant, Nightclub or Hotel.
  • Strong guest service and leadership skills.
  • Strong coaching skills and team-building experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven, demanding environment.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail.
  • Must have food and beverage knowledge.
  • Proficient computer skills including POS, Inventory and Cost Control applications.
  • A 4-year college degree is highly desirable.
