POSITION PURPOSE

As a Flex Financial Partner, you are responsible for promoting the financial well-being of members across multiple branch locations by delivering exceptional service, building strong relationships, and providing tailored financial solutions. This role supports various branches as needed, ensuring continuity of service, operational efficiency, and consistent member experience. Responsibilities include guiding members toward appropriate account and loan products, cross-selling credit union services, and referring members to other lines of business, while accurately processing transactions and maintaining cash handling standards

FLEX REQUIREMENTS

  1. Fully rotational position with assignment across multiple branch locations as needed, no fixed branch assignment
  2. Regular travel between branch locations is required
  3. Variable scheduling may include split shifts, adjusted hours, and coverage of staffing emergencies. Extended evening hours and Saturday hours required on a regular rotation and as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Deliver exceptional member service by accurately processing all branch transactions following proper procedures which include deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, traveler’s checks, money orders, placing check holds, verifying identification and endorsements, wire transactions, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  2. Engage with Heritage Financial teammates development initiatives and actively participate in personal growth using available resources
  3. Meet or exceed established performance goals
  4. Organize priorities effectively to achieve monthly goals while maintaining a high standard of work quality
  5. Respond to inbound member calls, addressing their needs by assisting with account placement and consumer loan products (excluding real estate loans) and promote and facilitating digital enrollments and adoption for all HFCU products and services.
  6. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and provide the best options for members, particularly in cross-selling opportunities and addressing their needs
  7. Perform duties in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Credit Union policies and procedures
  8. Performing account and loan intake and funding
  9. Manage digital inquiries and requests across various platforms, including chat, online accounts, and marketing leads
  10. Acquire a foundational understanding of the Commercial Loan Products offered by the credit union and submit referrals to the Commercial Loan Department as appropriate.
  11. Participate in outbound activities limited to community events and volunteering
  12. Effectively perform Lobby Engagement and First Impression Opening daily
  13. Work as team supporting and championing each other
  14. Have high energy, support and embrace the credit union initiatives
  15. Display empathy and the ability to remain professional during challenging times
  16. Ability to open and close the branch as assigned by branch management
  17. Complete all required training as assigned

FLEX EXPECTATIONS

  1. Must be able to adapt quickly to different branch environments, teams, and operational environments
  2. Must execute all responsibilities and maintain consistent performance standards regardless of branch location
  3. Quickly adapt to varying teams, and operational environments
  4. Communicate effectively with multiple advisors and managers regarding assignments and daily operations
  5. Support operational continuity during staffing shortages, emergencies, and coverage needs

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. NMLS License required. A Notary License is required or must be obtained within 9 months of hire.

KNOWLEDGE:

Acquire a foundational understanding of the Commercial Loan Products offered by the credit union. Submit referrals to the Commercial Loan Department as appropriate. This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of extensive customer service and sales experience, preferably in the financial industry, encompassing areas such as customer service, needs-based selling, goal achievement, cash handling, account and loan intake and funding, project participation, team collaboration, and community engagement.

  • Needs-based selling with exception product knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office Software.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (depending one experience)

** $750.00 Sign-On Bonus**
