  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance and IT, translating business needs into system requirements and explaining system constraints and options to financial stakeholders.
  • Configure and maintain EBS organizations, hierarchies, workflows, and approvals, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support fiscal year end and year open activities, monthly and annual close tasks, and audit requests related to financial systems and configurations.
  • Analyze and resolve complex system issues and data discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide user support and training for Oracle EBS and related tools; create and maintain desk procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement projects, including requirements definition, testing, and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically 4+ years of relevant exempt experience in financial systems, accounting, or finance, with at least 2+ years at a mid‑level systems or financial professional level.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, accruals, GL structure, reconciliations, variance analysis).
  • Hands‑on experience supporting or configuring Oracle EBS or similar ERP financial modules, including testing and production support.
  • Experience planning or coordinating system patches or upgrades, including regression testing and stakeholder communication.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables) and strong data analysis abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience with Oracle EBS Projects and core financial modules (GL, AP, AR).
  • Familiarity with tools such as iAccess/SafePaaS, Excel4Apps, More4Apps, ConfigSnapshot, UPK, MicroStrategy, ServiceNow, and Jira.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
