Job Description

The Financial Reporting Analyst will be hybrid, based in our headquarters office in Orange County, California. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting or audit professional looking to transition into a corporate financial reporting environment with exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
This position sits within a highly visible financial reporting team responsible for preparing internal reporting packages for senior management and ownership partners. The Analyst will work closely with Accounting and cross-functional business leaders to analyze financial results, explain variances, and support executive-level decision making.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting packages for senior leadership and ownership stakeholders
  • Analyze current and historical financial results, perform variance analysis of key metrics (including cash flow, operating income, and profitability), and clearly explain drivers of performance
  • Prepare financial reporting schedules and supporting analysis following monthly close
  • Translate accounting results into clear, concise executive-ready reporting materials
  • Partner with Accounting and FP&A teams to support variance explanations and reporting deliverables
  • Support senior management and department leaders with in-depth financial analysis and ad hoc reporting
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation and improved data organization
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to logically think through financial results and clearly communicate findings
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to understand the “why” behind variances
  • Professional presence with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in audit, assurance, accounting, or financial reporting (public accounting experience preferred)
  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing CPA
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis)
  • Experience supporting financial reporting cycles and analyzing financial results

Preferred Requirements:

  • Exposure to real estate or investment-related industries
  • Experience working with Yardi or similar ERP systems
  • Familiarity with reporting tools or data visualization platforms

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$80,080.00 - $133,460.00
