Montcure, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) founded with a vision to revolutionize consulting and advisory services through innovative, data-driven solutions. The Montcure team recognizes the unique challenges faced by organizations and governments in today's rapidly evolving business environment.

About the Role

Montcure, LLC is hiring a Financial Management Audit Support Staff member to support a U.S. Navy / DoW financial management organization in responding to its financial statement audit. This is a management-side audit support role, not an auditor role. Working under the direction of Seniors and Managers, you will carry out assigned tasks using established templates and procedures: pulling data, gathering key supporting documentation (KSD), performing reconciliations, and tracking requests in key areas that may include General PP&E, Inventory, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and beginning balances.

What You'll Do

  • Complete assigned audit support tasks under the direction of Seniors and Managers, following established templates, desk guides, and timelines.
  • Pull transaction and balance data from Navy ERP, Advana/Jupiter, and other systems as directed, and format populations for review.
  • Gather KSD for selected samples from Government points of contact and document repositories, and organize it into support packages for Senior review.
  • Match source documents to system records for Procure to Pay and Order to Cash samples (e.g., obligations, receiving reports, invoices, billings, collections), and note missing or inconsistent items.
  • Gather historical documentation for beginning balance samples as directed.
  • Perform assigned account reconciliations using standardized templates, and flag variances to the Senior.
  • Run established data queries and Excel analyses, and summarize results as directed.
  • Maintain PBC request trackers, KSD logs, and status reports, and follow up with Government points of contact on outstanding items.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited United States college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a field of study relevant to the role. An additional two (2) years of relevant experience may substitute for the minimum education requirement.

Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Federal financial management, accounting, audit readiness, or audit support.
  • Basic understanding of how transactions and account balances flow to the financial statements.
  • Experience gathering or organizing supporting documentation, performing reconciliations, or tracking audit or data requests.
  • Familiarity with Procure to Pay or Order to Cash processes.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, filtering); exposure to Navy ERP or Advana/Jupiter is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills, with the ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy financial statement audits.
  • Progress toward a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CDFM, CGFM).

Status: Contingent – this contract is contingent upon award.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
