This position is responsible for providing simple to moderate level accounting and finance support to various internal departments and other stakeholders, including preparing financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis.

Essential Duties:

  • Transactional duties may include but are not limited to: Prepare, review and input manual journal entries, review general ledger activity and prepare timely account reconciliations and workpapers for accounts in supported departments / areas and tracking account activity and payments (35%)
  • Reporting duties may include but are not limited to: Prepare ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal management and other stakeholders, prepare ad hoc reports, specialized projects and analysis for internal customers, and assist with external financial reporting as assigned (25%)
  • Analytical duties may include but are not limited to: Analyze account activity, investigate and resolve balance discrepancies and internal inquiries by researching and interpreting general ledger data, and determine reconciling journal entries, document workflow and identify process improvements, assist in preparation of forecasts and provide variance analysis of actual performance against forecasts (25%)
  • Other duties as assigned (15%)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Required
  • Accounting major – Preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills – Required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written - Required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy – Required
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team – Required
  • Effective organization and time management skills - Required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality – Required
  • Experience with Workday – Preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 0-2 years relevant experience – Required
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles - Required
  • Basic knowledge of financial reporting and analysis - Preferred

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $57,200 - $94,600

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
