Cushman & Wakefield's San Francisco-based Capital Markets team is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to support all phases of the investment sales process, including preparing detailed financial analysis and valuations, assisting in preparing proposals for new business opportunities, and creating marketing materials for new assignments. The team represents institutional owners of office, industrial, and life science real estate throughout the Bay Area, and Northern California. Responsibilities:
- Support a leading transaction team with the investment sales process, including property underwriting and valuation, preparation of marketing materials, and the preparation of proposals for new business.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses for commercial properties using Argus valuation software and proprietary Excel models.
- Prepare cash flow models and valuation analyses using a variety of potential leverage structures.
- Perform extensive due diligence, including but not limited to reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting various types of real estate documents, such as leases, rent rolls, income statements, budgets, balance sheets, tenant financial statements, loan documents, property condition assessments, and other information to support the underwriting, valuation, and marketing of investment real estate.
- Identify and clearly communicate critical property level financial and due diligence issues.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into client deliverables and valuation models.
- Preparing, organizing, and tracking due diligence and closing documentation for buyers and sellers.
- Support senior partners in client presentations, communications with potential property investors, and other forms of client interaction
- Attend local SF Bay Area industry and networking events
- Maintain databases of real estate transactions.
- Assist team with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in accounting, finance, economics and/or real estate, with strong academic credentials. MBA is a plus.
- 0-2+ years of commercial real estate experience, preferably with a firm engaged in brokerage, investing, banking, consulting, appraisal, or business development.
- Advanced Argus skills (workplace experience) and ability to build cash flow models is a requirement.
- Outstanding communication and writing skills. (A writing sample may be required)
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables.
- Willingness to work in a goal-oriented, demanding, focused, collaborative, dynamic team environment.
- California Real Estate Salesperson License required within the first year; existing license a plus.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
