The financial analyst will be responsible for developing and analyzing strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and profit while maintaining a sustainable pricing structure. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring that RBNA's volume and investment targets are met and communicated effectively and in a timely manner.

Additional responsibilities include tasks related to promotional analytics (ROI), managing trade promotion funding, and conducting performance reviews of in-market trade activities. The analyst will support financial evaluations regarding volume trends and investment levels specifically for large-format channels. This position will collaborate closely with both headquarters and field-based sales teams to coordinate trade plans that optimize fund allocation within the customer and channel frameworks.

Job Description

FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

Provide support in monitoring and managing the financial aspects of RBNA's Large Format channel through regular analysis and effective communication with field teams.

Assist in overseeing the volume and investment budget for the Large Format channel, proactively identifying major deviations, and taking appropriate actions using the customer profitability tool.

Manage and ensure accurate monthly updates of CPM while maintaining planning accuracy for all Large Format Key Accounts.

Ensure the accuracy of prior and current year accruals, making adjustments or releases as needed.

Collaborate with stakeholders in the Large Format channel to assess whether volume and investment plans are realistic and achievable.

Provide day-to-day support by addressing ad hoc inquiries from the Large Format sales team.

PRICING AND PROMOTION

Conduct a detailed analysis of pricing and promotional strategies to generate actionable insights, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders while providing metrics on retailer performance, distribution partner efficiency, and internal effectiveness.

Perform ad hoc pricing and profitability modeling to support the organization's evolving business needs.

Enhance efficiency in Controlling to allocate more time for analysis and insight generation, which will lead to recommendations and the identification of efficiencies and opportunities.

Track and report on key performance metrics related to pricing actions.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Drive best in class partnership with sales leadership, channel leads, & broader sales teams to maximize funds within the customer or channel framework & ensure alignment with pricing guidelines

Utilize in depth analysis to counsel business partners to implement/support strategies as well as fulfil needs from various retailers

Engage with the sales & category insights teams by becoming the “go-to” pricing expert, establishing credibility, and building relationships

FINANCIAL PRESENTATIONS

Assist and present to various stakeholders and teams across the organization.

Enhance the skills of field employees by educating them on best practices related to pricing and promotional strategies.

Deliver presentations on projects or analyses to Finance and Sales teams during regular meetings.

PROJECTS

Serve as a key contributor to the development of annual pricing and promotional guidelines.

Participate in price modeling studies to evaluate the outcomes of pricing and promotional activities.

Develop tools aimed at enhancing pricing and promotional analysis.

Provide support and assistance with headquarters/global initiatives within the trade finance and sales teams.

Contribute to ad hoc projects, including value chain analysis and determining optimal funding contributions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field from an accredited college or university.

2+ years work experience as a financial analyst, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Ability to operate independently in a matrix environment.

Strong Accounting background.

Strong communication skills; ability to interact with and persuasively present financial issues to all levels of management.

Strong organizational and financial skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 

Familiarity with SAP R/3, SAP BI, and Hyperion an advantage.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $67,200 - 100,800 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
