Procore is looking for a Sr. Tax Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll manage and coordinate with tax services providers on all corporate tax filings, documentation, contingencies, compliance, provision consolidations, annual filings, and any other tax-related projects. 

As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you’ll prepare tax journal entries, local, domestic, and international filings while working closely with our Tax Director, senior management, and other employees to help drive efficiency within the global tax function. Successful candidates are comfortable working in a high-growth environment and communicate effectively with all levels of management.

This role reports to our Director, Tax and can sit in any US Procore office or work remotely within the US. We’re looking for someone to enjoy us immediately.

 What you'll do:

• Support external tax advisors on the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and other tax projects, including collaborating with multiple departments on obtaining required data
• Calculate federal and state estimated tax payments
• Manage other tax requirements, including sales, use, locality taxes, property tax
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end tax provisions
• Prepare tax general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with R&D credit study, Cal Competes credit filings, 382 study, and more
• Assist with international tax compliance in all Company’s foreign jurisdictions, including VAT/GST
• Assist with the administration of federal and state tax audits, when applicable
• Investigate and respond to notices from various taxing authorities
• Research tax issues and document conclusions
• Assist with special projects, as needed

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required; M.B.T. or C.P.A. is preferred
• 4+ years of experience at a large CPA firm and corporate tax environment; experience in a SaaS/technology environment is preferred
• Multi-national C-corporation tax experience 
• ASC 740 tax provision experience
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel for pivot tables, logical formulas, macros
• Strong technical research skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team- must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in public accounting, Big 4 preferred
• Experience with Netsuite, Avalara, Zoura, and Coupa systems preferred
