Remote-first
Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported an overall better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness.
At the end of 2021, LegalZoom made the official commitment to being a remote-first company. Remote-first means that there is no expectation that Zoomers come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. While we remain a remote-first culture, our local offices have evolved as collaboration spaces for Zoomers to meet and engage in person.

Overview
Legalzoom.com is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The highly visible position will be a key member of our Corporate FP&A team and responsible for oversight of our global forecasting including our annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecast cycles. This role will drive and support Finance department initiatives and recommend efficiency improvements regularly. The individual in this role will have direct interactions with senior management across the finance, operations, and corporate departments. This position is expected to contribute meaningful development and implementation of the financial planning and reporting system for the company and will report to the Director of FP&A.
You will• Liaison between operational accounting team and all other company departments to provide a full P&L estimate by the middle of each month (effectively a soft close)• Communicate and interpret guidance from senior management to ensure analyst and business partners follow effectively• Serve as a key resource to operations and corporate teams for strategic planning guidance and forecasting policies and communicating modifications• Prepare presentations and create content to succinctly communicate to senior management, business leaders, and other departments as needed. This includes, but is not limited to recurring executive and board meeting presentations.• Key leader to provide guidance and development of FP&A staff hiring, training, and elevating existing team members to their full potential.• Support management of financial systems and actively contribute in the development of the analytical reporting and streamlining processes• Maintain ongoing modeling of the P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow forecast, and standardize recurring financial reporting as required
You have
Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance; or relevant business experience; an MBA or investment banking experience is a plus• 5+ years in Finance related field with Financial systems, SEC reporting, and financial modeling all stand out qualifications.• Demonstrate ability to succeed in high visibility, results focused position• Strong attention to detail balanced by ability to see the big picture to synthesize and clearly communicate a point of view for recommendations and analyses.• Excellent analytical skills, written and verbal communication and diplomacy are important qualities for success.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with highly motivated colleagues.• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork.• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications• Strong ability to analyze and integrate multiple data sources into decision reporting, identify issues & trend in data, identify issues/opportunities, and implement solutions• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and experience with SEC reporting is desirable• Experience with a cloud-based ERP system (e.g. Oracle, SAP or Work Day), Tableau, Anaplan, and other reporting applications is a highly preferred
