SUMMARY
WELL Health is seeking a Senior Associate for our Corporate Development Team to identify and execute growth opportunities in our company. This person will evaluate market trends, collect competitive intelligence, analyze current and potential growth engines, and rank opportunities for growth. They will analyze financial transactions and lead due diligence to support strategic growth through partnership and acquisition. In addition, this role will support our strategy and partnerships teams on new ventures for the business. This role is best suited for someone who is interested in working on the most important strategic problems faced by a high growth business and who is eager to bring a “whatever it takes” attitude toward problem solving.
To ensure success you will have a clear understanding of your role, be focused on planning and growth objectives, and provide recommendations on which markets to target based on thorough analysis and sound judgment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting research to identify all potential markets for growth, including addressable & obtainable market size, competition, pricing, regulations, and risks
- Analyzing prospective partnerships and acquisitions for strategic, financial, and operational fit
- Coordinating and communicating on due diligence of prospective partnerships and acquisitions by collaborating with the executive leadership team, board, and senior leaders
- Prioritizing and recommending at-the-ready WELL’s next growth opportunity by creating and maintaining a strategic framework to stack rank prospects, target markets and WELL’s unfair advantage
- Collaborating with the CFO to develop a capital plan in line with the strategy
- Collaborating with leadership, special committees, and consultants to execute strategies
- Communicating strategy effectively throughout the company
- Role will have C-suite visibility and opportunities to work directly with WELL’s board of directors
REQUIREMENTS
- BS, BBA, or BA
- 2+ years of strategic experience in a similar environment, investment banking, or management consulting
- Experience influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and thought leadership when engaging executives
- Experience supporting complex strategic and financial transactions for organizations
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Role requires extensive use of PowerPoint and Excel; fluency in modeling, data analytics, business argument formation, communication in slides, etc. is a must
- Experience leading primary and secondary research, creating new data sets, and working with strategic market research vendors is also essential to the role
- Excellent people skills
- Available to travel to our Santa Barbara headquarters for building, strategy sessions, and meetings with senior management as needed
