Since raising a $45 million Series A investment, the Output team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who will be responsible for supporting a timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting processes under US GAAP as well as supporting the implementation and administration of accounting systems and processes. This is a hands-on role that will establish accounting best practices and begin as an individual contributor but will grow to lead a team in the very near future.
We are currently working remotely and will continue to do so until it is safe to return to our office in Los Angeles. This Manager, Accounting position can be 100% remote in the US.
How you'll add value:
- Manage a timely and accurate month-end close by preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Preparation and review of account reconciliations and rollforwards
- Establish and maintain processes around accruals and prepaid activity
- Own stock-based compensation and equity accounting process
- Establish and maintain process around capitalization of software development and recognition of costs
- Assist with distributor billing and cash application activities as needed
- Support implementation of processes around inventory accounting
- Monitor the need for business process improvements and assist with the design of processes, procedures, and reporting enhancements to improve financial and operational processes
- Support the design and implementation of new policies and procedures to support audit requirements and business activities
- Assist with the preparation of GAAP financials and footnote disclosures for the annual audit
- Analyze financial information, prepare flux analysis and support management reporting
- Support development and implementation of accounting systems
- Support sales tax, federal, state and local tax reporting as needed
- Support the external audit process
- Own day-to-day accounting activities, special projects, and process improvements
- Hire and develop accounting team members as the Company grows
What you'll need to be successful in this role:
- 6+ years accounting experience required
- 2+ Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with Netsuite required
- Proficient with excel
- Experience with capitalization of software development required
- Experience with inventory accounting preferred
- Experience with foreign currency required
