We're looking for a motivated and dynamic leader to build and grow our Performance Reporting and Billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the reporting and billing module of our Practice Management software. You will be responsible for building a product that beats the best-in-class offering available in the market. Accuracy and reliability of performance reports and billing invoices are critical to ensure our advisors comply with their fiduciary responsibility towards their clients. Your team will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of these performance reports and billing invoices. As an Engineering Manager, you will work very closely with product and other cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver product requirements. 


What you’ll do:

  • Build and grow the Engineering team by hiring and retaining the best talent
  • Coaching and mentoring the team to foster a culture of trust, transparency, innovation, and growth
  • Implement enhancements to provide the data accuracy and consistency guarantees required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Build a comprehensive billing and performance reporting product that beats the best in class offerings in the market
  • Partner with a Product Manager to curate and maintain the product backlog
  • Take ownership of the projects from design to delivery and ensure high-quality work
  • Provide support for any production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs


What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team
  • A good understanding of distributed systems in practice, as well as performance and scalability
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, OOP, and computer science fundamentals
  • Experience building Cloud-native applications
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Experience working with Java and Spring ecosystems and microservices
  • Experience working with at least one of popular SQL/NoSQL data storage like Postgres, DynamoDb, etc.
  • Knowledge in Agile/Kanban/lean software development, Jira, Git, testing, and maintaining production code
  • Result-oriented, highly organized, responsive, analytical, and process-oriented
  • Proven track record of operating complex systems at scale
  • Proven track record of building and fostering a culture of trust, transparency, innovation, and growth
