Role Overview:
An experienced AP Manager that is a self-motivated and creative collaborative team player to join the team! The EZTexting AP Manager will take ownership and manage the Accounts Payable departments needs and responsibilities. The candidate will also prepare various analyses to support AP department optimization, research and implement best practices and month-end analysis and reconciliations. This position is integral to the growth and building of our organization, and requires a versatile, self-directed, and hands-on professional
Primary Responsibilities:
Enhance, monitor, and oversee AP operations and ensures accuracy and timeliness of AP postings while adhering to company guidelines
Manages weekly check runs, and off-cycle disbursement needs
Manages and completes timely daily, weekly, month-end and annual task of all payables related financial records
Prepare monthly reconciliations related to AP accounts and other monthly reporting and analysis
Review monthly expense reports for completeness and accuracy
Report and Prepare 1099 and 1096 forms
Streamline existing AP procedures and workflows
Supports development, implementation and systems maintenance, accounting procedures and policies with primary focus on accounts payable functions
Provides vendor support and accounting assistance to other departments and responds to financial questions/concerns with excellent customer service
Resolves issues as they arise and is proactive in guiding team
Manage and supports AP Specialist
Drives company AP training
Requirements:
A proactive team player
An excellent provider of customer service to other departments and internal teams
Tech savvy – must be comfortable working in a mostly digitized accounting environment
Flexible – possess the ability to effectively cope with rapidly changing priorities
Ability to prioritize and organize workflow
Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
Strong understanding and use of accrual and prepaid accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
3-5 years of Accounts Payable management.
Proven leader with strong coaching and team development skills
Master of QuickBooks and Concur preferred
Technology/software industry experience preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to efficiently multitask
ERP Implementation experience preferred
