Job Description:

Summary

Manager of Field Finance reports directly to the Finance Director – Central Region and is responsible for supporting the Customer Logistics Director (DCL). This role provides financial analysis and support for the monthly close process, annual business plan, and new business opportunities for the Central Operations team. This position will support our Dedicated Transportation business segment.
Essential Functions
  • Month-End Closing
  • Forecasting and budget development
  • Research and provide explanations of variances vs. forecast / budget / prior year and ensure billing opportunities are captured
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Ensure adequate controls are in place to drive Sarbanes-Oxley compliance around revenue recognition procedures and contractual terms that could create financial exposure
  • Work with the Field Finance Director to translate, communicate and implement corporate financial policies, guidelines, procedures, and controls
  • Oversee the collection of accounts receivable
  • Support analysis of proposed new business including pricing, optimizing the deal structure, development of customer proposals and subsequent negotiation
  • Provide detailed budget tracking for new business startups
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including but not limited to income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, depreciation, tax reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel- advanced level preferred
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and multi-task in a demanding environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Master’s degree/MBA preferred
  • Seven (7) years or more Accounting and/or Finance experience required
  • Transportation, Logistics, or equivalent industry experience preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

105,000

Maximum Pay Range:

110,000
