The Role
This role requires a strategic thought leader to provide guidance and organizational financial direction to Presidio’s Services Practice leadership on long-term strategic matters as well as day-to-day commercial decisions. This person will partner with the business to develop and facilitate financial forecasts and strategy (focused on key corporate growth initiatives); including operational analysis and alignment.  This person is also responsible for ensuring a timely and accurate financial close for the practice(s) they support; including presenting analysis and recommendations for the business based on results.  This role will report directly into the VP of Finance, Services and must excel at coordinating the work efforts with and managing several employees and be able to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.

 Key Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with assigned Services Practices leadership teams
  • Serve as a thought leader in all financial and operational decisions.
  • Work with practice leadership to create detailed budgets
  • Own and ensure accuracy of the business unit(s) financials.
  • Manage the budget and provide oversight on financial management with discipline and controls.
  • Establish key business metrics and KPIs to measure performance of the business, and to articulate drivers of business performance and profit profile while proactively highlighting areas of risks and opportunity.
  • Partner with broader FP&A, Accounting teams to support company-wide financial modeling, monthly close, reporting, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Provide finance approvals to support ongoing operations.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing FP&A team that supports the Services business units

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • MBA strongly preferred; CPA/CFA certification a plus
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years of FP&A or finance business partnership experience within a Professional Services, Managed Services or Cloud organization. 
  • Results oriented, with a high bias for action and a strong ownership of accountability.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience partnering alongside and presenting to executive management
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and proven experience in building collaborative working relationships with teams across the organization
  • Proven track record of developing people, leading and managing high-performing teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Experience with planning applications such as Hyperion, OneStream; visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including V lookup, pivot tables, etc).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g. MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA).
  • Experience in the technology or professional service sector.
  • Experience with planning systems such as OneStream, Hyperion, IBM, etc.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Great Plains, Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in a SaaS company or experience with SaaS metrics.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
