The Global Fee Consulting team is a global team responsible for supporting the growth of our business, through the effective management and implementation of fee policy across the full range of investment products offered by the Capital Group.

As a Fee Consulting Manager, you will develop fee policy recommendations, support business cases, and drive continued progress toward the strategic rollout of related fee decisions. You will serve as the subject matter expert on global investment management fees, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, while evaluating opportunities and gaps in pricing, delivering alignment on fee proposals, and implementing change.

Some of the duties include:

  • Designs and develops hypothetical fee calculations, client responses, and comprehensive marketing materials related to fees.

  • Creates financial, sensitivity, and risk models to illustrate investment management fee structures and communicate options to all appropriate parties for complex fee related projects, as well as broader initiatives.

  • Considers all mandates, investment vehicles and investment management fees across all areas of the business in order to recommend potential options and educate sales staff and provide superior service to clients while ensuring positive economic impact.

  • Identifies differences associated with global/regional business models, considering legal implications and mitigating conflicts and risks. Provides guidance and recommendations to other functional groups.

  • Performs and directs competitive research in order to benchmark current fee structures to market. Identifies anomalies or trends on a regional or global scale in order to validate or propose changes as necessary.

  • Works with senior business leaders and various management committees to approve and promote appropriate fee policies/structures in line with the strategic direction of the organization.

  • You’ll possess strong business and industry acumen, and ideally a direct knowledge of investment management industry, including vehicle structures, mandates, fees, third party costs, competitive landscape, reporting and the regulatory environment.

  • You have a minimum of 7 years of demonstrated analytical work experience ideally within the financial services industry, a consulting firm or large accounting firm.

  • You have advanced Excel (financial modeling / pivot tables / formulas) experience.

  • You are strategic, proactive, collaborative and influential, able to build relationships and communicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders, including internal Capital Group associates and leaders.

  • You demonstrate ability to analyze large amounts of complex data and supplemental information to consolidate cross-system information, establish trends, create summary materials, share findings, and present conclusions to key stakeholders.

  • You have a rigorous approach and meticulous attention to deliverables’ detail.

  • You have strong planning and time management skills, yet flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858-$218,973

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
