Overview:

The Index & Data Solutions team (IDS) is responsible for the index and data strategy for the firm and the management of the commercial relationships with each provider. We are looking for a motivated, upbeat and self-starter individual to be part of our team supporting the data needs for our Aladdin business. The VP/Director position will play a key role towards executing the strategic sourcing of market data to support the firm’s investment and risk management products and technology solutions.

The ideal person will be high-energy, results-oriented, passionate about performance and excited about the opportunity to be a part of our team. Critical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to simplify complex matters, working cross-functionally and build strong relationships with partner teams and assess problems and execute on solutions are welcome to apply.

As a Relationship Manager in IDS you will

  • Partner with members of legal and business stakeholders to negotiate complex agreements with third-party market data providers for Aladdin
  • Serve as an advisor to Aladdin teams in the development of data strategies and new product offerings for clients
  • Collaborate with IDS’s Client Onboarding Services (COS) Team and the Aladdin business to address market data questions for Aladdin clients
  • Understand and share industry trends, market data product offerings and market intelligence.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, business, economics or related area; law degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of financial services; market data industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to interpret contract terms and conditions and communicate guidance to all levels, including senior management
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, and ability to quickly learn
  • Outstanding verbal, written and listening skills
  • Diligent and high energy individual committed to excellence
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented
  • Comfort interacting with and influencing a broad range of audiences
  • Ambitious, proactive problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to stretch outside your comfort zone and grow
  • Passion for being a part of a collaborative team
  • Familiarity with the Aladdin platform or similar enterprise investment management solutions a plus
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$11.00 - USD$11.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
