About this role

The Fundamental Fixed Income team delivers a broad suite of fixed income strategies tailored to meet diverse client objectives. These strategies leverage the expertise of sector specialists and are customized to reflect specific investment guidelines related to interest rate exposure, sector allocation, and credit quality.

The Product Strategy team plays a central role in supporting the platform’s growth by managing product-related data, responding to client due diligence requests, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of investment information across channels. This role is a key part of the workflow supporting marketing and client decks, client due diligence and reporting, with a strong emphasis on data integrity, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate responses to DDQs, RFIs, RFPs, and other client and consultant data requests with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Maintain and update product data across internal databases and consultant platforms.

  • Develop and refine Excel-based tools and templates to streamline data collection, validation, and reporting.

  • Apply Python and other scripting tools to automate repetitive tasks and enhance data quality checks.

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, compliance, and operations to source and verify investment data and narrative content.

  • Support the creation of product collateral including performance summaries, attribution analysis, and strategy overviews.

  • Conduct peer and industry analysis to benchmark product positioning and identify trends.

  • Ensure all materials meet regulatory, compliance, and brand standards.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and documentation standards.

Success Metrics

  • Timely and accurate delivery of DDQ and RFI responses with minimal revisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and complex product information with precision.

  • Development of tools or processes that improve team efficiency and reduce manual errors.

  • Recognition as a reliable resource for product-related data and documentation.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, MBA) preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience in asset management, preferably in a product, operations, or investment support role.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, macros).

  • Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data automation and analysis.

  • Familiarity with fixed income markets and investment products, particularly leveraged finance, is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong written communication skills, especially in articulating technical investment concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$137,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
