Please note: This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 12 weeks. The role generally requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the project, additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on project deadlines and operational needs.

Who Are We Hiring?

We are seeking a visionary Senior Creative Director with a strong art and design background to join our team to develop and execute compelling campaigns and experiences that elevate our brand, drive engagement, and fuel business growth. This role will provide creative direction and execution of largescale immersive experiences for our corporate clients, working across every canvas at Sphere, as well as in digital media. Additionally, you will be tasked with providing creative direction for marketing campaigns for Sphere itself and its entertainment properties, to drive brand engagement and ticket sales, through both traditional and integrated marketing.

With a track record of guiding cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams through strategy, concepting, pitching, and production, you bring both vision and executional excellence. You are strong conceptually, while possessing a refined aesthetic, advanced design sensibility, and the ability to deliver compelling experiences & design solution. This candidate has an exemplary aesthetic and design skills that thrives on the challenge of creating new formats.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate innovative, integrated marketing platforms and activations, rooted in strategic insights, to ultimately deliver strategic brand partnerships that drive business and build reputation.  
  • Lead internal brainstorms on assigned projects, collaborate cross-functionally with other creative stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams from conception to execution. Accountable for presenting compelling concepts backed up by solid strategic insights and business cases. 
  • Execute and manage integrated branded content for multiple platforms from idea to deliverables with a focus on feasibility, logistics and budget continuity. 
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and clients; based on trust, respect, objective listening, and alignment with their needs alongside demonstrating ambitious creative concepts and opportunities. 
  • Steward the creative integrity of projects and champion design excellence for our brand and our partners 
  • Work closely with creative leadership to elevate the team’s creative output and establish a high bar for excellence. 
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of exceptionally talented designers and art directors to develop industry leading concepts and executions. 
  • Cultivate healthy processes and relationships while pushing creative boundaries. 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What do you need to succeed?  

  • 7+ years of experience in a creative studio, developing innovative and engaging experiential concepts across digital and physical platforms. 
  • Demonstrated creative and design excellence with career progression in your portfolio. Proven track record of working in experiential activations at scale, with experience in live events, immersive experiences, emerging technology with brand clients preferred.  
  • Demonstrated ability in written communication and presentation copy writing.  
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant design software (ex. Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, After Effects, and/or 3D software etc.)  
  • Articulate and charismatic speaker who can lead discussions and captivate a room  
  • Experience with channel strategy from a creative perspective is ideal and heavy experience in digital is a huge plus 
  • Adept at visualizing concepts across a wide range of mediums  
  • Objective listening skills with the ability to formulate information into concepts and designs that are technically and economically viable  
  • Reliable decision-making capabilities, based on solid understanding of how to balance creative expression, pragmatic design, and business needs  
  • Strategic and agile thinker who can pivot the creative and evolve design to meet shifting needs  
  • Ability to seed and generate a larger sustainable holistic vision across platforms, locations, and supporting initiatives

Pay Range: $6500-$7000
