ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The contract Executive Search Consultant will be responsible for leading a full life cycle search desk supporting executive (VP+ with some Senior Director) job requisitions across the Iron Mountain Enterprise. This is a contract position for approximately 3 months.
Executive Recruiting is an integral part of Iron Mountain’s Global Talent Acquisition organization. We operate like an internal executive search firm, executing and delivering searches, named approaches, market mapping, competitor intelligence, and talent advisory services to our clients. As the Executive Search Consultant, you will largely be responsible for leading and providing strategic, proactive sourcing, research, and market intelligence for all Executive Recruiting (including VP, SVP, EVP and potentially Sr. Director levels).
You will partner closely with Executive Recruiting colleagues, Hiring Executives, and the HR Business Partners to identify largely passive, qualified, diverse talent for current and upcoming executive hiring needs. This is a remote (USA, prefer Eastern Time Zone) or hybrid role (Boston).
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be well-versed in all aspects of executive recruiting with a specific expertise in research and sourcing including creative/tech-savvy candidate identification, competitor org mapping, and collecting and presenting relevant talent market intelligence.
You must be confident and articulate in presenting search strategies, prospect/candidate ideas, and research themes both verbally and via clear, impactful decks and presentations. You are also able to quickly understand the skill sets and business domain required by a search and quickly translate that into relevant prospective candidate generation.
Additionally, the role will require you to:
● Support Executive Search and other critical stakeholders to identify, plan, and
implement sourcing strategies for single searches or pipelining for multiple needs
● Identify high-quality executive talent not just for current open roles but for the
long-term benefit of the company, in particular relating to our diverse
representation goals
● Be proficient with multiple online sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter as well as broader online research leveraging Boolean search strings to source relevant talent
● Develop pipelines of external prospects and approach, qualify, and evaluate in
partnership with the Executive Recruitment team
● Lead a few Executive Searches independently, with an emphasis on candidate development.
● Ensuring candidate slates are as representative as possible
● Deep knowledge of the IRM businesses and the ability to sell the opportunities credibly/ effectively to senior candidates
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience in Executive Search, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources
● Minimum of 4+ years’ foundational experience in Executive Recruiting or Executive Research/ Sourcing capacity ideally in Executive Search
● A mixture of experience between executive search firms as well as within corporate executive recruiting teams is ideal
● Creative, wide-reaching research skills, particularly with focus on diversity slating
● Strong project management and presentation skills; strong communications—both verbally and in writing; proficiency in creating clear and impactful PowerPoint documents and search strategies
● Must possess a strong sense of pride and ownership in producing quality, scalable, and repeatable research templates and processes
● Ability to interface, communicate, and demonstrate confidence, with senior executives
● Experience leading, building, implementing, and scaling executive sourcing and recruitment strategies
● Proficiency and depth of experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and other sourcing, research tools, and methodologies
● Understanding of the full recruitment and candidate lifecycle
● Strong business acumen and communication skills to partner, consult, and build relationships
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience using Workday as an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
● Corporate and/or Retained Executive Search experience
● Global sourcing and recruitment experience
