The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology (CCMB). Reporting directly to the Director and Associate Director of the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing senior-level administrative support to the office in day-to-day operations requiring a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, thoughtfulness and follow-through. The Executive Assistant will perform diverse administrative assignments and tasks that may involve interactions with executives both internal and external to USC. While proactively analyzing information and anticipating needs, changes and daily demands, the Executive Assistant will play a key role in CCMB by demonstrating enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and maintaining a strong work ethic with a high degree of accountability.
CCMB conducts cutting-edge research in the areas of cell and developmental biology, tissue regeneration, cell signaling, gene regulation, computational modeling, head and neck cancer, and other congenital or acquired human diseases using genetic, genomic and/or epigenomic approaches. At CCMB, these disciplines focus on craniofacial biology and beyond.
The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and bridge-builder leader who brings a strong background in administrative support in supporting university leadership. A thoughtful collaborator and attuned listener, they are adept at navigating priorities across a wide range of stakeholders.
This is an on-site position under our current work arrangement plan on the Health Sciences Campus with occasional travel to the University Park Campus in Downtown Los Angeles. Minimal travel outside of Los Angeles is required. Late nights and weekends are required for this position.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 5 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience in supervising administrative operations of multi-faceted department.
